OpenAI shipped two new models this week, and three tools in our directory switched them on within hours of each other. GPT-6 Sol and GPT-6 Luna sit below Astra in OpenAI's line-up but carry over much of its strength, at a fraction of the cost. Lovable now builds with GPT-6 Sol by default, according to Lovable's LinkedIn post. On Lovable's own 0-to-1 building benchmark, GPT-6 Sol scores 6 to 12% higher than GPT-5.6 Sol at every effort level, with the biggest jump on following the brief and getting design fundamentals right.

OpenAI introduced GPT-6 Sol and GPT-6 Luna in a LinkedIn announcement, describing them as faster, more affordable models built on the advances behind Astra. Caching and inference are more efficient too, and OpenAI is passing that on: API prices for both models are 50% lower than GPT-5.6's promotional pricing. Sol and Luna are rolling out today in ChatGPT Work and Codex for Plus, Pro, Business and Enterprise users, with both also live in the API. Notion added GPT-6 Sol and GPT-6 Luna to its model picker, per Notion's LinkedIn post. Both models are rolling out now, giving Notion AI users two more options alongside whatever they already had selected.
