Mexico City

Hosted by Rafael Mendiola

AI Builders Meetup brings React and AI developers to Mexico City on 27 October 2026 during Mexico Tech Week and Día de Muertos. This planned meetup offers developers a timely opportunity to connect with Mexico’s technology community, compare what they are building and spend time discussing the intersection of React and artificial intelligence. Organised by Rafael Mendiola, it is designed to bring local builders together with developers travelling from outside Mexico. What to expect The concept is deliberately community-focused: gather strong developers in one place, invite interesting speakers and create space for conversations about React, AI and current projects. While the detailed programme and speaker line-up have not yet been announced, the meetup is expected to centre on: - React development and the evolving tools and practices around it - AI products, applications and developer-led experimentation - What attendees are currently designing, coding and shipping - Connections between Mexican developers and visiting builders - Exposure to one of the world’s most energetic technology communities The event is being timed to coincide with Mexico Tech Week and Día de Muertos, making it particularly relevant for people who want to combine a developer meetup with several days in Mexico City. That wider context gives international attendees an opportunity to experience the local technology scene while the city hosts other activity and one of Mexico’s most significant cultural occasions. Who should attend? The meetup is aimed specifically at React and AI developers. It should appeal to working engineers, independent builders and technically minded product creators who want to exchange ideas with peers and learn what others are building. The published announcement does not specify a required experience level, so prospective attendees should register their interest and follow future updates as the agenda takes shape. Nottingham · Fothergill House

Hosted by DevOps Notts

Explore architecture governance for AI coding agents at Fothergill House in Nottingham on 27 October 2026, from 6–8pm GMT. This DevOps Notts talk presents a financial-services approach to moving governance earlier in the software development process. Rather than relying solely on architecture review boards, deployment failures and late-stage guardrails, the session will show how governance can become part of an AI agent’s reasoning. You’ll learn how an agent can read real policy documents, explain applicable requirements in plain English while a developer is still describing a system, and identify constraints before any Terraform is created. The talk also covers mirroring those policies in OPA/Rego rules, allowing the agent to check its own proposed design before presenting it and enabling CI to verify changes made by hand. The event is particularly relevant to DevOps practitioners, software engineers, architects and teams working with AI-assisted development in regulated environments. No speaker biography or experience-level requirement has been published. Agenda - 18:00: Doors open - 18:30: Talk begins - 19:15: Pizza and catch-up - 20:00: Doors close Hosted by Mica B. for DevOps Notts at CGI Fothergill House, 16 King Street, Nottingham NG1 2AS. Hosted by Oxford Artificial Intelligence Meetup

See practical AI development workflows in action at this online Oxford AI meetup on 12 November 2026, featuring three demos from active builders. Hosted by Daren T. and Adrian A., What are you building with AI? is a show-and-tell session focused on the tools, processes and lessons behind real projects. Rather than heavy theory or polished corporate presentations, members of the Oxford Artificial Intelligence Meetup will demonstrate what they are currently making, explain what works and share what they are learning when things do not go to plan. What will be demonstrated? The agenda covers three distinct approaches to applying AI in development workflows: - Daren will show how he set up Meetup events using ChatGPT alongside browser control, offering a practical example of using AI to automate an event-management task. - Adrian will present his latest work using local AI to write Flutter code, showing how AI-assisted coding can fit into a software development process without relying entirely on hosted models. - Naweed will demonstrate his AGENTS.md file and, if time and circumstances allow, walk through his full development process. Together, the demos provide a grounded look at AI automation, browser-based workflows, local coding assistants and the project instructions used to guide AI agents. The emphasis is not on abstract predictions about AI, but on seeing how other builders use it day to day. Who is it for? This session is particularly relevant to developers, AI experimenters, automation enthusiasts and anyone exploring how agents or coding tools can support practical work. You do not need to arrive with a finished project or prepare a presentation: attendees are explicitly welcome to watch, listen and learn, with no pressure to share their own work. The event takes place online at 8:00 PM on Thursday 12 November 2026. The attendance link will be visible to registered participants. It forms part of the Oxford group’s recurring second-Thursday meetup series, built around a straightforward question: what are you building with AI? Register for this online event

Topics include: - Burnout caused by pressure to produce more, faster - Cognitive overload from reviewing verbose AI-generated code and running multiple agents - Effects on motivation, confidence, learning and skill development - Difficulty disconnecting when continual prompting makes anything feel possible - Anxiety around job security, productivity expectations and keeping pace with AI - The interaction between AI-assisted coding, autism and ADHD The talk will be followed by a guided group conversation about how AI is affecting attendees’ wellbeing and jobs, plus ways developers can support one another. Miranda is a founding director of the Software Stewardship Lab and author of its report on burnout in open source. This discussion-led evening is particularly relevant to software developers using AI coding agents, open-source contributors and anyone concerned about sustainable careers in technology. Pizza will be provided, with Perk sponsoring the venue and catering. Register for the EdinburghJS meetup

Explore AI-driven software development with IBM Bob at a free, hands-on hybrid coding watch party in Berlin and online on 1 December 2026. This final event in IBM’s hybrid series is designed for practitioners who want to see how an AI-powered development partner fits into real software workflows. Rather than passively watching a webinar, attendees will follow live sessions alongside other creators, discuss what they are seeing, react in real time and learn as a community. What to expect IBM Bob is designed to help people ideate, build, modernise and ship code faster. The watch party will explore how it can support work across the software development lifecycle, from early ideas and legacy application modernisation through to secure, full-stack, enterprise-ready development. The event combines hands-on learning with a community-first format. Its three tracks cater to different levels of experience: - Beginner sessions for people taking their first steps with AI-assisted development - Intermediate material for attendees already familiar with software or AI workflows - Expert content for experienced engineering, R&D and operations practitioners IBM Bob is intended not only for developers but also for domain users without coding experience, as well as R&D and Ops teams. That makes this event relevant to a broad mix of attendees: no-code and low-code builders, software engineers, full-stack developers, DevOps professionals, technical teams working with legacy systems, and anyone curious about the direction of AI-powered software engineering. Topics covered by the wider series range from hackathons to technical deep dives, with an emphasis on best-practice AI development workflows and peer learning.
