ChatGPT Images 2.6 can turn a prompt or an existing image into an animated GIF. You can adjust its speed and edit individual frames rather than regenerating the whole animation.

The release also adds saved reference images. People, pets and characters can be stored and reused in later creations without uploading the source image again. OpenAI’s LinkedIn post describes the update as available now across every ChatGPT tier.

ChatGPT Images 2.6 Adds More Editing Options

GIF creation starts from either a written prompt or an image. Once ChatGPT generates the animation, individual frames can be edited and the playback speed changed.

Saved references provide a second route for recurring subjects. A reference of a person, pet or character can remain available for future creations, removing the need to find and upload the same file for each session.

Image markup and SVG exports are included too. Markup adds another way to refine generated work, while SVG export provides a vector format for using the result elsewhere.

Two GPT-Image-2.6 Models Join the API

Developers now have two new image models. GPT-Image-2.6 Flare and GPT-Image-2.6 Sunburst bring 50% faster image generation to the API, with different priorities for speed and output quality.

Both models are available through the API. ChatGPT Images 2.6 is also available in Codex, with access across web, desktop and mobile.

How to Get Your Product Recommended by Google and ChatGPT

Tanya Van Gastel presents the APEX framework for making products discoverable in AI-powered search engines like ChatGPT and Google's AI Overviews. She explains how AI is fundamentally changing product discovery and buyer behavior, then breaks down five critical components: Authority (being cited as a solution), Presence (visibility across search platforms), Expertise (creating high-quality money pages), Endorsements (off-site validation), and Extractability (making content easy for AI to process). The talk emphasizes quality over quantity, with data showing 50% of SaaS SEO revenue comes from fewer than 10 high-performing pages.

The AI-Native Solopreneur: Build Without a Technical Co-Founder

Effie Bersoux presents a paradigm shift in entrepreneurship where AI enables solo founders to build, validate, and scale businesses without technical co-founders or significant capital. Drawing from Growth Girls' experience building 40+ companies in one year and going from a £4m exit (7 years) to a £40m acquisition target (1 year), she demonstrates how AI breaks the traditional capital-talent-traction loop that disadvantages undercapitalized founders. The talk provides concrete frameworks for AI-native operating models, automation decision-making, and rapid idea-to-market validation.
