Vercel shipped one security update and three AI Gateway additions in early November. Developers can now catch exposed tokens across more public sources, generate video with Gemini, add an AI participant to group chats and give tool-calling models access to web search.
Vercel Token Scanning Reaches More Public Sources
Vercel now detects and automatically revokes publicly exposed tokens found across GitHub, GitLab, Docker, npm, PyPI, Hugging Face, Android APKs and Firefox Add-ons through its partnership with Truffle Security. A separate scanner checks the monthly Common Crawl dataset, while affected users receive an email explaining why their token was revoked, according to the 4 November changelog.
The change adds another safeguard alongside Vercel Security Review for every GitHub push.
Gemini Omni 1.2 Flash Joins AI Gateway
Gemini Omni 1.2 Flash is now available through AI Gateway under the model name google/gemini-omni-1.2-flash, according to the 5 November changelog. It generates videos of 3 to 15 seconds with native audio, edits clips using up to six reference images, extends clips to a total of 30 seconds and supports output up to 4K.
Developers can use one AI Gateway API key without a separate Google account. The AI SDK supports generateText and streamText calls that return video files.
Ampersand Brings Group Conversation Behaviour to AI Gateway
Ampersand from Humans& is designed for group conversations, where it can choose whether to send a message or stay quiet using function tools such as send_message and pass. The 6 November changelog lists support through the AI SDK, the OpenAI-compatible Chat Completions API and coding agents under the model name humansand/ampersand-v0.1.
The model is free to use through 13 November 2026.
DeepSeek Search and Fetch Tools Reach AI Gateway
DeepSeek Search returns relevant pages with titles, URLs and summaries, while Fetch retrieves a page as Markdown. Both tools work with any model that supports tool calling through one AI Gateway API key, with no separate DeepSeek account required, according to the 6 November changelog.
They are available in AI SDK 6.0.321 or later for version 6, and 7.0.160 or later for version 7. Developers can combine search and page retrieval inside the same tools parameter.
