Lovable Brings Workspace-Wide Agent Access to Google Antigravity

Lovable is opening its entire app-building workspace to agents operating through Google Antigravity. Once connected, those agents can build software, iterate on existing projects, query data and deploy, extending Lovable beyond its own chat interface.

The company announced the integration on LinkedIn on August 26. Its central promise is straightforward: users connect Lovable to Google Antigravity once, rather than configuring access separately for every project or task, and agents can then reach the connected Lovable workspace.

That could make Antigravity a control layer for work that would otherwise happen through individual Lovable project chats. The announcement does not specify whether users can restrict agents to selected projects, databases or deployment actions, so teams should confirm the available permission controls during setup.

From Prompting Apps to Operating Workspaces

Lovable is best known for turning natural-language instructions into working software. The Antigravity integration broadens that model by giving external agents access to multiple stages of the development cycle, not just initial code generation.

According to Lovable, connected agents can:

  • Build applications inside the workspace
  • Iterate on projects that already exist
  • Query data available through Lovable
  • Deploy the resulting applications

The practical difference is continuity. An agent could potentially move from investigating data or an existing implementation to making a change and deploying it without the user manually transferring context between services. The announcement confirms those capabilities, although it does not provide a sample workflow or explain what approval steps apply before deployment.

For small businesses, the workspace-wide scope is the most consequential part. A founder or lean product team might use agents to maintain several internal tools, customer-facing apps and experiments from a single connection. That convenience also raises governance questions, particularly when production data and deployment privileges are involved. Access should be reviewed with the same care as any integration capable of modifying and publishing software.

Part of Lovable’s Wider Integration Push

The Antigravity release follows a rapid expansion of Lovable’s integration infrastructure. In an official account of that work, the company said it went from having no formal integrations to nearly 100 app connectors in six months, with ongoing work around OAuth, permissions and connections made by an app’s end users.

Those investments matter because agent access is only useful when an agent can safely reach the systems needed to complete a task. Lovable has also been expanding data access within the apps customers build, including app user connectors that bring per-user data into Lovable apps. The Google Antigravity connection operates at a different level, giving agents reach into the builder’s workspace rather than simply letting an app’s users connect their own accounts.

Several operational details remain undisclosed. Lovable has not stated whether the integration requires a particular paid plan, how granular its project permissions are, or whether agent-triggered deployments need human approval. It has also not published separate pricing for Antigravity access in the supplied announcement.

For now, the update is best understood as a new agent entry point into Lovable. Its value will depend less on whether an agent can generate another app and more on how reliably teams can limit, inspect and approve what that agent does across a workspace.

Frequently asked questions

What is Lovable in Google Antigravity?

It is an integration that lets agents using Google Antigravity access a connected Lovable workspace. Lovable says those agents can build and iterate on applications, query data and deploy projects after the platform is connected once.

Who is the integration for?

It is relevant to builders and teams that want agents to work across Lovable projects without repeatedly moving context between tools. Because the connection covers an entire workspace, organizations handling production apps or sensitive data should review its access controls before use.

Does the Google Antigravity integration require a paid Lovable plan?

Lovable’s announcement does not identify a required plan or disclose separate pricing. It also does not detail project-level restrictions or deployment approval settings, so users should check the connection flow and current Lovable documentation for those terms.
