Granola Connects to Factory to Turn Meeting Notes Into Executable Code

Granola has launched an integration with Factory, enabling users to transform meeting notes captured during calls into executable code and automated workflows. The update, announced on LinkedIn, extends Granola's capabilities beyond documentation into implementation.

The integration addresses a common workflow gap: decisions and technical requirements discussed in meetings often require manual translation into working code or automation sequences. With Factory connected, outputs generated from Granola's meeting notes can flow directly into Factory's development environment, where they can be converted into functional code, workflows, or automation logic.

How the Integration Works

Granola captures and structures meeting content in real time, producing notes that include action items, technical specifications, and requirements. With the Factory connection, these structured outputs can be pushed into Factory's platform, where users can build on them to create code, workflows, or automation sequences without starting from scratch.

The integration builds on Granola's existing Recipe system, which transforms meeting transcripts into specific output formats. Following their recent update that added the ability to turn transcripts into help docs, the Factory connection represents another expansion of what users can do with captured meeting content.

Factory specializes in building custom software and automation workflows using AI, making it a logical pairing for teams that discuss technical requirements or process improvements in meetings. The connection means a product requirements discussion can become a working prototype faster, and a process improvement conversation can turn into an automated workflow without multiple handoffs.

Expanding Granola's Integration Ecosystem

This is Granola's latest move to position itself as a central hub in productivity workflows. The company has been steadily adding connections to other tools, including HeyGen for video creation and checklist functionality for action tracking.

The Factory integration follows Granola's February launch of Granola MCP, which connected meeting notes to Claude, ChatGPT, and Cursor via Model Context Protocol. That update focused on bringing meeting context into AI tools; the Factory connection goes further by enabling direct creation of functional outputs.

Granola raised $125 million in a Series C round announced in March 2026, positioning the company to expand its integrations and infrastructure. The company's focus has been on serving users in back-to-back meetings who need to quickly capture, structure, and act on information without manual reorganization.

The Factory integration is available now to Granola users. Details on setup requirements and pricing were not disclosed in the announcement.
