Supabase announced that its open-source tool for syncing Stripe data into Postgres is moving to Stripe’s GitHub organization after Stripe engineers began contributing to the project. The tool is designed to keep a dedicated stripe schema in a Postgres database updated with Stripe account data, so teams can query billing information directly with SQL alongside application data.
Key updates in this release include:
- The repository will remain open source despite the move to Stripe’s GitHub org
- Support for syncing coupons in addition to subscriptions, invoices, and customers
- Branching support for development workflows
- Immediate sync on install, reducing setup friction
- No breaking changes for existing users
The integration removes the need for custom webhook handlers or separate ETL pipelines to analyze Stripe billing data in Postgres. For small business owners and builders, that can simplify reporting, subscription tracking, and internal tooling while keeping billing and product data in one queryable database.
