Granola Connects Meeting Notes Directly to ChatPRD for Product Managers

Granola now connects directly to ChatPRD, allowing product managers to transform meeting transcripts into product requirement documents without manual documentation work. The company announced the integration on LinkedIn on February 23.

The connection addresses a specific workflow problem for product teams: capturing decisions made in conversations and turning them into actionable PRDs. Rather than relying on memory or manual notes, product managers can now feed Granola's meeting transcripts directly into ChatPRD to generate structured product documents.

Granola's positioning emphasizes speed. "Spend less time documenting what was said. Spend more time building what was decided," the company wrote in its announcement. The integration aims to eliminate the documentation lag between meetings and PRD creation.

How the Integration Works

The integration operates as a direct connection between Granola's AI notepad and ChatPRD. When Granola captures and transcribes a meeting, product managers can push that content into ChatPRD to generate a first draft of a PRD. This workflow removes the intermediate step of manually synthesizing notes into a document structure.

Granola has expanded its integration ecosystem significantly in recent months. The company recently connected with HeyGen to turn meeting notes into videos, and added checklist features to convert discussions into trackable action items. The ChatPRD integration continues this pattern of moving meeting content into specialized downstream tools.

ChatPRD itself is a generative AI tool designed to write product requirement documents based on prompts or source material. By connecting Granola's transcripts, product managers gain a pre-populated context layer instead of starting from a blank slate.

Context for Product Teams

The update targets product managers who spend significant time in back-to-back meetings discussing features, user feedback, and roadmap priorities. Granola's core value proposition has always been reducing the overhead of meeting documentation. This integration extends that value into the PRD workflow specifically.

Product teams often struggle with the gap between verbal decisions made in meetings and written specifications. Conversations move quickly, details get lost, and PRDs written days later rely on partial memory. By automating the handoff from meeting transcript to PRD draft, Granola aims to preserve the fidelity of original discussions.

Granola raised $125 million in March 2025 to expand its platform beyond meeting notes into broader workplace context. The company has also added custom jargon support to improve transcription accuracy for teams with specialized terminology, and built recipe workflows that turn transcripts into help documentation.

The ChatPRD integration is available now. Granola did not specify whether the connection requires additional configuration or works automatically for users of both platforms.
