Granola Automates CRM Sync for Enhanced Meeting Notes

Granola’s automated CRM sync sends enhanced meeting notes and action items directly to HubSpot, Attio and Affinity. Salesforce and other CRM tools can receive the same notes through Zapier.

The change removes the manual push between a customer call and its CRM record. According to the launch post, users can set folder-level triggers, map notes to custom CRM fields and exclude sensitive conversations from the sync.

How Granola’s Automated CRM Sync Works

During a call, the user writes rough notes about the points they consider important. Granola then enhances those notes with transcript context and exact participant quotes. The structured result is sent to the connected CRM rather than attaching a full raw transcript.

Folder-level triggers control which notes move into the CRM. Once a trigger is configured, notes added to that folder sync without someone manually pushing each meeting. Teams can use separate folders for sales calls, customer interviews or conversations that should remain outside the pipeline.

Custom field mapping connects parts of the enhanced note to properties in the CRM. This allows details from a call to update the relevant contact or deal record instead of sitting in a separate meeting document.

The workflow builds on Granola’s existing approach to meeting notes. Users keep their judgement in the initial notes, while the AI adds context from the conversation. Teams can also standardise the starting structure with Granola’s / template command for consistent notes.

Keeping CRM Records Current

Granola positions the feature around teams running four to eight customer-facing calls each week. Each completed call can add its enhanced notes to a live contact or deal record, preserving customer priorities, action items and discovery patterns.

This also creates a shared record for teammates who did not attend the meeting. Past findings stay attached to CRM records, rather than relying on someone’s memory or a separate document.
