Netlify Adds Search and Filtering to Members Page for Pro and Enterprise Workspaces

Netlify has shipped an updated Members page for Pro and Enterprise workspaces, adding search, filtering, and sorting capabilities to help teams manage access across what the company calls "unlimited seats."

The update addresses a practical problem. When Netlify eliminated per-seat pricing earlier this year, teams started adding more people. Designers previewing builds, product managers checking staging environments, finance teams building dashboards, marketing publishing pages. The new Members page gives workspace admins tools to see who has access and what they're doing.

What's Included

The Members page now supports:

  • Search by name to locate specific team members
  • Role-based filtering to view users by permission level
  • Project access filters to see who can access which projects
  • Sort by last activity to identify active and inactive users

The feature set is basic but covers common access management scenarios. Teams can audit who has access, find collaborators on specific projects, and surface users who haven't logged in recently.

Positioning and Availability

Netlify positions the update as a response to its unlimited seats model. Without per-user pricing, workspace membership tends to expand. The Members page gives admins visibility into that expanded roster without requiring spreadsheets or manual tracking.

The feature is available now for Pro and Enterprise plans. Free and Starter tiers don't get access, which makes sense given those plans typically support smaller, more stable team configurations.

Netlify announced the update in a LinkedIn post on April 16. The company didn't publish a dedicated blog post or changelog entry for the Members page specifically, though its changelog continues to document other platform updates like the recent addition of OpenAI GPT-5.5 Instant support in AI Gateway.

Context

The Members page update fits into Netlify's broader shift toward team-oriented features. The company removed seat-based pricing in April 2026, betting that unlimited access would drive platform adoption across entire organizations rather than restricting it to core engineering teams.

That bet requires infrastructure to manage the result. If a workspace grows from 12 to 40 people, admins need ways to understand access patterns, remove former employees, and coordinate project permissions. The Members page provides that without requiring third-party tools or manual processes.

For teams already managing large Netlify workspaces on Pro or Enterprise plans, the update should streamline routine access audits and reduce time spent answering "who has access to this project" questions. For teams still on seat-limited platforms like Vercel or hosting their own infrastructure on Railway, it's another data point in favor of Netlify's pricing model, assuming the rest of the platform fits their stack.

The company has been moving quickly on platform features this year. In addition to unlimited seats and the Members page, Netlify launched Netlify Database with integrated Postgres, shipped Stripe Projects integration, and positioned Agent Experience as a bridge to production AI workflows. The Members page is a smaller update by comparison, but it signals continued investment in team management tooling as workspace sizes grow.
