Bolt Slides now supports direct canvas editing, faster slide management and new ways to present and share a deck. The update is live at bolt.new, according to the LinkedIn post.
You can change slides directly on the canvas rather than moving elsewhere to edit them. Individual slides can also be reordered, duplicated or deleted with one click.
| Area | What changed |
|---|---|
| Editing | Edit slides directly on the canvas |
| Organisation | Reorder, duplicate or delete slides with one click |
| Presenting | Draw on slides and use a speaker notes presentation view |
| Sharing | Export a PDF or publish the deck to a real URL |
The canvas editing follows Bolt’s recent addition of Visual Edits for apps. In that release, builders gained controls for changing text, size and colour by selecting an element on the canvas. Bolt Slides now has its own direct editing workflow for presentations.
Bolt Slides Adds Tools for Live Presentations
Presenters can draw on a slide while presenting. That can be used to mark a chart, circle a number or annotate a diagram during a session. The update also adds a presentation view with speaker notes, keeping prompts available while the deck is being delivered.
The sharing options now cover both files and web publishing. A finished presentation can be exported as a PDF for sending or archiving. It can also be published to a real URL, creating a web version that can be opened through a link.
Together, the new controls cover editing, slide organisation, presenting and distribution from within Bolt Slides. The update is available now through Bolt.
