Zapier Launches BrightHire Integration to Connect Interview Context With Thousands of Apps

Zapier has launched an integration with BrightHire that allows recruiting teams to connect interview intelligence data to thousands of apps in the Zapier ecosystem. The integration enables automated workflows before and after interviews, including tasks like surfacing candidate context, flagging follow-up actions, and routing interview insights to tools teams already use.

The timing follows BrightHire's recent connections to Claude, ChatGPT, and Codex, expanding the AI interview platform's reach beyond internal AI tools to broader workflow automation.

Zapier's Team Built the First Use Case

Zapier's own talent team developed one of the first production workflows using the integration. The team connected BrightHire, Ashby (their ATS), Google Docs, and Slack to build an automated prep system for final-round interviews.

Before each conversation, the workflow automatically surfaces context from prior interviews and flags areas that still need exploration. The system runs without manual intervention, preparing interviewers with relevant candidate history and outstanding questions.

According to BrightHire's announcement, the talent team built the workflow themselves without engineering support. Tracy St.Dic and Brandon Sammut from Zapier's recruiting team configured the automation using Zapier's interface, demonstrating the integration's accessibility for non-technical users.

What Teams Can Build

The BrightHire integration supports three core automation patterns. Teams can automate pre-interview prep by pulling candidate context into documents or Slack channels before scheduled calls. Post-interview workflows can route notes, scores, and highlights to hiring managers or ATS systems. The integration also enables trigger-based follow-ups, such as sending candidate emails or updating pipeline stages based on interview outcomes.

BrightHire captures and structures interview context through AI-powered note-taking and analysis. The Zapier connection makes that structured data available to over 7,000 apps, letting teams route interview intelligence wherever it's most useful in their hiring stack.

Recruiting Workflows Without Code

The integration positions BrightHire alongside other specialized recruiting tools in Zapier's catalog, which already includes connections to applicant tracking systems, scheduling tools, and communication platforms. Teams can now chain BrightHire's interview data into multi-step workflows that span recruiting, onboarding, and team communication.

For small recruiting teams or startups without dedicated engineering resources, the no-code approach removes technical barriers to building custom hiring automation. The Zapier model lets users configure workflows through a visual interface, connecting triggers and actions without writing code.

The integration is available now through Zapier's platform. Teams using BrightHire can access the connection through Zapier's app directory and begin building workflows with their existing Zapier account.
