Zapier Audit Log Tracks AI Actions Across Your Company

Audit Log now puts every MCP action and Zap run into one company view, including work started through Zapier or connected AI tools. Each entry links the activity to the person behind it, so admins can see who owns a workflow, what it touched and when it changed.

In a LinkedIn post, Zapier CFO Ryan Roccon describes it as the same log whether work begins in Zapier, Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, Muse or another tool. Zapier’s finance and accounting teams already work this way.

What Zapier Audit Log records

The central log covers AI actions and automations that continue running in the background. This includes MCP actions, Zap runs and Next Gen Zaps deployed from a prompt.

AreaWhat admins can see or manage
MCP actionsThe person behind each action and what it touched
Zap runsActivity from workflows running through Zapier
OwnershipWho owns each workflow across the company
ChangesWhen logged activity changed
Security monitoringLogs streamed to Datadog or Splunk

A second LinkedIn post adds that admins can choose which apps and actions each team can access. Connections can be owned by the company rather than an individual, allowing workflows to keep running when an employee leaves.

Custom actions built for internal tools follow the same access rules and appear in the same log. Security teams that already monitor activity in Datadog or Splunk can stream Zapier logs into those systems instead of maintaining a separate review process.

The release extends Zapier’s work around AI tools taking actions across business software. Create With has previously covered its 100 Zapier MCP templates for action-taking AI assistants and the connector bringing more than 9,000 apps to Meta Muse.

How to Get Your Product Recommended by Google and ChatGPT

Tanya Van Gastel presents the APEX framework for making products discoverable in AI-powered search engines like ChatGPT and Google's AI Overviews. She explains how AI is fundamentally changing product discovery and buyer behavior, then breaks down five critical components: Authority (being cited as a solution), Presence (visibility across search platforms), Expertise (creating high-quality money pages), Endorsements (off-site validation), and Extractability (making content easy for AI to process). The talk emphasizes quality over quantity, with data showing 50% of SaaS SEO revenue comes from fewer than 10 high-performing pages.
