Lovable Turns Confluence Specs Into Live Hosted Apps

A product spec in Confluence can now become a live, hosted Lovable app. The generated app stays linked to its original page, giving the designer or engineer who picks up the work something they can click through.

Lovable can also be called from Rovo Chat. The update brings the app-building workflow into Atlassian rather than requiring teams to begin with a separate Lovable project.

According to Lovable’s LinkedIn announcement, the integration is aimed at product and engineering teams.

Lovable Connects Confluence Specs to Working Apps

The starting point is an existing specification in Confluence. Lovable uses that page to build an app which is live and hosted, rather than producing another written description of the proposed product.

The link back to the Confluence page remains in place after the app is created. The announcement does not describe that link as two-way synchronisation or say that later edits to the specification automatically change the app.

This gives the next person in the product process a working interface. Designers and engineers can click through the app instead of receiving only a static specification.

Building From Rovo Chat

Rovo Chat provides another way to call Lovable within Atlassian. A team can begin from the conversation interface while keeping the resulting app connected to the Confluence page behind the work.

The flow described in the announcement is:

  1. 1

    Write the spec

document the product requirements in a Confluence page

  2. 2

    Call Lovable

start the build from Atlassian or Rovo Chat

  3. 3

    Open the app

hand over a live, hosted version that can be clicked through

  4. 4

    Keep the reference

the app remains linked to its original Confluence page

The release follows Lovable’s move into other team workspaces, including Lovable in Slack Brings Lovable App Building Into Team Threads.

AI Lets You Build Everything—Here’s Why You Still Never Launch

Tom Wesolowski, owner of NoCodeRefactoring.com, delivers a conference talk exposing how AI's ability to build anything has created a new problem: chronic overbuilding that prevents launches. Using a real marketplace project as a case study, he demonstrates how an 80% scope reduction transformed a stalled four-month development into a revenue-generating product launched in two weeks. The talk provides a practical framework for identifying the minimal viable customer loop and postponing everything else until real user demand validates the need.
