Lovable Launches AI-Powered Penetration Testing for Vibe Coding Apps

Lovable has launched automated penetration testing for apps built on its vibe coding platform, marking the first time developers can run comprehensive security scans without leaving a chat-based development environment.

The new feature uses a swarm of AI agents from Aikido Security to test applications for common vulnerabilities, including the OWASP Top 10, privilege escalation flaws, and potential data exposure. The system validates findings to minimize false positives and syncs actionable issues directly back into Lovable projects.

From Weeks to Minutes

Traditional penetration testing typically requires dedicated security teams, weeks of manual work, and budgets ranging from $5,000 to $50,000. Lovable's integration collapses that timeline into an automated workflow that runs alongside the development process.

The tool generates formal pentest reports suitable for compliance frameworks like SOC 2 and ISO 27001, as well as client security questionnaires and investor due diligence. These reports document vulnerabilities discovered, their severity, and remediation steps, giving small teams access to documentation previously reserved for enterprises with security budgets.

Validation to Reduce Noise

A core challenge in automated security testing is the volume of false positives. Lovable's implementation validates each finding before surfacing it to developers, attempting to reduce the manual triage work that often bogs down security reviews.

Once vulnerabilities are confirmed, they appear as trackable issues within the Lovable workspace, where developers can address them in the same environment where they built the app. This closes the loop between discovery and remediation, a gap that often slows down security fixes in traditional workflows.

Lowering the Bar for Security

The move reflects a broader trend of embedding security tooling into development platforms rather than treating it as a separate step. For Lovable users, many of whom are solo founders or small teams without in-house security expertise, the integration removes a significant barrier to shipping production-ready software.

Lovable has been steadily expanding its security capabilities. The platform recently added a secrets overview to its security center for workspace-wide secret management, and introduced in-app commenting for real-time team feedback on security issues and other development tasks.

The penetration testing feature is available now to all Lovable users. Pricing details were not disclosed, but the company emphasized the cost reduction compared to traditional pentesting services.

AI Lets You Build Everything—Here’s Why You Still Never Launch

Tom Wesolowski, owner of NoCodeRefactoring.com, delivers a conference talk exposing how AI's ability to build anything has created a new problem: chronic overbuilding that prevents launches. Using a real marketplace project as a case study, he demonstrates how an 80% scope reduction transformed a stalled four-month development into a revenue-generating product launched in two weeks. The talk provides a practical framework for identifying the minimal viable customer loop and postponing everything else until real user demand validates the need.
