Lovable Adds Abandoned App Clean-Up for Forgotten Projects

Lovable's abandoned app clean-up identifies projects with no recent activity, whether they are published or not. Enterprise admins can also enable automatic deletion, with a grace period, warnings before removal and time to recover deleted projects.

The feature tackles projects that stay in a workspace after people stop working on them. These might include early prototypes, abandoned experiments and published apps that are no longer being maintained.

Lovable introduced the feature in a LinkedIn announcement. The release is accompanied by a game inside Lovable that encourages users to track down forgotten apps in their workspace.

How Abandoned App Clean-Up Works

The process starts by finding projects without recent activity. Published status does not affect whether a project can be identified, so an inactive app can still appear even if it remains live.

Enterprise admins can turn on automatic deletion for these projects. A grace period runs before anything is removed, and Lovable sends warnings ahead of the deletion. Deleted projects can still be recovered for a period afterwards.

The game provides another route into the same housekeeping task. Users are invited to find it inside Lovable and use it to review apps that have been left behind. The underlying clean-up controls remain available as a workspace feature for administrators.

Lovable Adds Another Enterprise Workspace Control

Automatic deletion is managed by Enterprise admins rather than individual project builders. It joins Lovable's recent Enterprise work around where apps run, including Deploy on AWS and the Microsoft Azure private preview.

Unlike those deployment releases, abandoned app clean-up focuses on the projects already stored inside a Lovable workspace. It covers inactive projects regardless of whether they were published, then adds warnings, delayed deletion and recovery around their removal.

AI Lets You Build Everything—Here’s Why You Still Never Launch

Tom Wesolowski, owner of NoCodeRefactoring.com, delivers a conference talk exposing how AI's ability to build anything has created a new problem: chronic overbuilding that prevents launches. Using a real marketplace project as a case study, he demonstrates how an 80% scope reduction transformed a stalled four-month development into a revenue-generating product launched in two weeks. The talk provides a practical framework for identifying the minimal viable customer loop and postponing everything else until real user demand validates the need.
