Zapier Brings ZoomInfo API access standardized to Every Customer

Zapier is making it easier for sales and marketing teams to put ZoomInfo data to work outside the platform. API access to ZoomInfo’s Go-to-Market Intelligence Platform is now standard for every ZoomInfo customer, including trial accounts, opening the door to automated lead enrichment, account research and pipeline updates.

The change removes a practical barrier for teams whose customer data is scattered across forms, calendars, sales systems and communications tools. In an official blog post, Zapier said ZoomInfo data can now be incorporated into workflows that move information across CRM platforms, email tools, spreadsheets and apps such as Slack.

ZoomInfo provides company and contact information, buying signals, enrichment capabilities and conversation intelligence. Zapier says the API draws on continuously verified data with more than 90% overall accuracy and 93% deliverability for senior decision-maker contacts. Those figures come from the companies and were not independently assessed in the announcement.

Better Context Before AI Runs

The most immediate use case is improving the information supplied to an AI model. A basic lead form might contain only a name, work email and company. That is usually enough to create a record, but not enough to generate a useful sales summary or determine whether the account should receive immediate attention.

A Zapier workflow can now send that limited record to ZoomInfo for enrichment before passing it into an AI step. ZoomInfo says its platform tracks real-time buying signals across more than 5,000 topics. Depending on the available data and workflow configuration, that additional context could help a team create a more relevant summary, identify account activity or route a lead using more than the details entered into a form.

A typical sequence could include:

  • Capturing a new lead from a form or sales application
  • Looking up company and contact context through ZoomInfo
  • Supplying the enriched record to an AI tool for summarisation
  • Routing the lead to the appropriate representative or channel
  • Writing the enriched information back to the company’s CRM

This matters because generative AI output is highly dependent on its input. Connecting a model to richer business data does not guarantee an accurate recommendation, but it can reduce the generic results produced when a workflow starts with only a handful of fields.

Automated Briefs and Fresher Pipeline Records

Zapier also highlights pre-meeting research. When a prospect books a meeting, an automation can use the attendee or company details to retrieve ZoomInfo data and assemble a briefing for the assigned representative. That brief can then be delivered through email, a messaging channel or another internal system without requiring someone to manually research the account before every call.

The same connection can help maintain CRM records. New records can be enriched when they are created, while existing opportunities can be updated when fresh account information becomes available. The precise actions available will depend on the ZoomInfo integration and each company’s workflow, but standard API access makes these processes available to a broader set of ZoomInfo accounts.

The release also complements Zapier’s wider effort to make business applications accessible to AI-driven workflows. The company has been expanding beyond conventional trigger-and-action automations, including its SDK for AI builders and MCP access across 9,000 apps. ZoomInfo adds a potentially valuable source of commercial context to that automation layer.

For smaller businesses, the significance is less about API access as a technical feature and more about avoiding a custom integration project. Teams already paying for ZoomInfo can use Zapier to connect that data with operational tools, while trial users can test workflows before adopting a paid ZoomInfo account. The announcement does not specify new Zapier pricing, usage limits or which individual ZoomInfo actions are supported.
