Lovable announced Workspace Insights, a new enterprise governance feature that gives admins a single dashboard to monitor every project, surface security risks, and control what teams are building.
The update consolidates project oversight into Security Center, addressing a gap for organizations using Lovable's chat-driven development platform at scale. Until now, admins lacked a unified view across workspaces. Workspace Insights changes that by surfacing every project, its publish status, and risk signals in one filterable table.
What's Included
At the top of the dashboard, stat cards provide a snapshot: total projects, externally published apps, and projects flagged as high review priority. Below that, a searchable project table lets admins filter by review priority, publish status, and security findings. Each row expands to show infrastructure details and a breakdown of risk factors.
The table supports CSV export, a feature likely aimed at compliance teams and leadership reporting. Admins can pull a full workspace audit into a spreadsheet for security reviews or documentation.
PII detection scans four entry points: chat messages, file uploads, past conversation history, and on-demand scans of Cloud DB and Cloud Storage. Redaction happens automatically for supported formats, meaning builders don't hit friction while admins maintain visibility and a paper trail. This addresses a core tension in enterprise AI tooling, where speed and governance often conflict.
Security scanner integration pulls findings from Security Center directly into the project table. Code-level vulnerabilities, supply chain risks, and workspace governance signals now live in the same view, which should reduce context switching for security teams. Lovable introduced security scanning earlier this month, and this update tightens the feedback loop between detection and action.
Why This Matters
Lovable's core pitch is speed: build apps through chat, ship faster, skip traditional dev cycles. But speed at enterprise scale demands oversight. Workspace Insights appears designed to answer the question IT and compliance teams ask when evaluating AI-assisted development tools: how do we know what's being built, who has access, and where the risks are?
The feature set mirrors governance patterns from established low-code platforms like Bubble and Retool, but adapted for a tool that generates code via natural language. The PII detection is particularly relevant given Lovable's chat interface, where sensitive data could surface in unstructured prompts.
According to the official blog post, the update is available now for Enterprise customers. Pricing and availability for smaller teams were not mentioned. Lovable also recently launched MCP server support, integrating with Claude for direct client access.
Workspace Insights positions Lovable as a platform that can scale within large organizations, not just a prototyping tool. The focus on compliance-friendly exports and automated PII redaction suggests the company is targeting regulated industries where AI adoption has been slower due to governance concerns.
