Jotform has rolled out a new Labels feature in My Workspace, giving users a more flexible way to organize forms and other assets across projects and teams.
The update allows users to create custom labels and apply them to any Jotform asset, including forms, tables, and approvals. Labels can be nested using sublabels to create hierarchies, making it easier to sort assets by project, department, client, or any other category users need.
The feature appears in the My Workspace view, where users can now filter and find assets by label rather than relying solely on folders or search. According to the Jotform blog, the update is designed to help users who manage multiple projects or work across different departments keep their workspace tidy.
How Labels Work
Users can create labels from scratch or apply them while viewing assets. Once a label exists, it can be added to any number of forms or other items with a single click. Labels are color-coded by default, though users can customize the color and name of each label to match their workflow.
Sublabels let users build out more granular structures. For example, a "Clients" label might have sublabels for each client name, or a "2025" label could break down into quarters or months. The system supports multiple levels of nesting, so users can organize assets as specifically as they need.
Filtering by label happens in the sidebar. Clicking a label shows all assets tagged with it, and clicking a sublabel narrows the view further. Users can also apply multiple labels to a single asset, making it possible to cross-reference items that belong to more than one category.
Team Asset Labels
For team accounts, Labels work across shared assets. Team admins can create and manage labels that other members can then apply to their own forms and projects. This makes it easier for teams to standardize how they organize work, especially when multiple people are contributing to the same forms or tables.
The feature follows Jotform's recent push into enterprise collaboration, where the company launched Enterprise 2.0 with advanced workflow automation and team management tools. Labels appear to be another step in making Jotform more usable for organizations that handle large volumes of forms and need better ways to keep everything organized.
Users can access Labels now in their My Workspace view. The feature is available across all Jotform plans, though team-level label management requires a team or enterprise account.
