Framer Multiplayer Cursors Show Edits in Real Time
When several people work in the same formatted text field, each person’s cursor is now visible. This applies inside the CMS and when formatted text is edited on the Canvas.
The cursor refresh also changes how collaborators appear on the Canvas. Cursors are smaller and use higher contrast, making them easier to distinguish while editing a page together.
The release extends the formatted text insert menu too. Editors can add website embeds and Vimeo videos directly to formatted text. This puts more media types inside CMS-driven articles, resource pages and other repeatable content.
CMS collection filtering has received a separate improvement. Collections can now be filtered using reference and multi-reference fields. These fields connect one CMS item to another, including cases where an item links to several related records.
Agent and Human Editing Use the Same CMS
The reliability work applies to edits made by agents as well as people. Framer recently expanded agent access through Framer MCP Lets AI Agents Build and Publish Sites, which lets connected AI tools manage CMS content alongside Canvas and publishing tasks.
Together, these changes let agents work with formatted CMS content while human collaborators can see active edits through multiplayer cursors. The update does not change the underlying CMS structure described in the announcement.
