ElevenLabs demonstrated its conversational AI platform, ElevenAgents, at the HumanX conference this week, showcasing capabilities designed for enterprise customer support and outreach at scale.
Mati Staniszewski, part of the ElevenLabs team, presented a live demo highlighting three core agent capabilities: real-time multilingual support, seamless call transfers between agents or human operators, and proactive outbound calling. The demo took place on the main stage, with attendees able to visit the company's booth for additional hands-on experience.
Agent Capabilities on Display
The demo centered on practical enterprise use cases. Real-time multilingual support allows agents to handle conversations in multiple languages without requiring separate agent configurations or manual routing. Call transfer functionality enables agents to escalate complex queries to human operators or route calls to specialized agents based on conversation context.
Proactive calling, a feature designed for outbound workflows, allows businesses to initiate calls for appointment reminders, payment follow-ups, or customer notifications without manual dialing.
These capabilities build on ElevenLabs' existing voice agent infrastructure, which companies like Klarna and Revolut have deployed for customer support. Klarna reduced its time to resolution by 10X after implementing ElevenAgents, while Revolut selected the platform to handle high-volume support requests across multiple languages.
Enterprise Deployment Context
The HumanX presentation follows a series of enterprise deployments and partnerships. In February, Deutsche Telekom announced a partnership with ElevenLabs to integrate voice agents into its customer service infrastructure. The company also announced a $500 million Series D funding round at an $11 billion valuation, signaling investor confidence in enterprise voice AI adoption.
ElevenLabs has also moved to address enterprise security and compliance requirements. The company recently expanded its deployment options to include on-premise and on-device installations, allowing organizations in regulated industries to run voice agents within their own infrastructure.
Additional features include Guardrails 2.0, a safety layer designed to prevent agents from responding to harmful prompts or sharing sensitive information, and multilingual voice support through a partnership with IBM.
What This Means for Builders
For small businesses and technical builders, the HumanX demo signals that advanced voice agent capabilities are becoming production-ready. Multilingual support without custom configuration removes a significant barrier for companies serving global markets. Call transfer functionality addresses a common objection to AI customer support by providing a clear escalation path when agents reach their limits.
Proactive calling opens use cases beyond reactive support. Businesses can automate appointment confirmations, payment reminders, and customer outreach workflows that previously required manual effort or expensive call center contracts.
ElevenLabs has not announced general availability dates for the features demonstrated at HumanX. The live demo suggests the capabilities are in active testing with enterprise partners, but smaller teams may need to wait for broader rollout through the ElevenLabs platform.
The conference appearance positions ElevenLabs as a direct competitor to traditional contact center platforms and emerging voice AI providers. As enterprises evaluate AI-powered customer service, the company's focus on multilingual support and flexible deployment models may differentiate it in a crowded market.
