Hosted by Oxford Artificial Intelligence Meetup

See practical AI development workflows in action at this online Oxford AI meetup on 12 November 2026, featuring three demos from active builders. Hosted by Daren T. and Adrian A., What are you building with AI? is a show-and-tell session focused on the tools, processes and lessons behind real projects. Rather than heavy theory or polished corporate presentations, members of the Oxford Artificial Intelligence Meetup will demonstrate what they are currently making, explain what works and share what they are learning when things do not go to plan. What will be demonstrated? The agenda covers three distinct approaches to applying AI in development workflows: - Daren will show how he set up Meetup events using ChatGPT alongside browser control, offering a practical example of using AI to automate an event-management task. - Adrian will present his latest work using local AI to write Flutter code, showing how AI-assisted coding can fit into a software development process without relying entirely on hosted models. - Naweed will demonstrate his AGENTS.md file and, if time and circumstances allow, walk through his full development process. Together, the demos provide a grounded look at AI automation, browser-based workflows, local coding assistants and the project instructions used to guide AI agents. The emphasis is not on abstract predictions about AI, but on seeing how other builders use it day to day. Who is it for? This session is particularly relevant to developers, AI experimenters, automation enthusiasts and anyone exploring how agents or coding tools can support practical work. You do not need to arrive with a finished project or prepare a presentation: attendees are explicitly welcome to watch, listen and learn, with no pressure to share their own work. The event takes place online at 8:00 PM on Thursday 12 November 2026. The attendance link will be visible to registered participants. It forms part of the Oxford group’s recurring second-Thursday meetup series, built around a straightforward question: what are you building with AI? Register for this online event

AI x Epistemics Research Sprint

Online

Hosted by Apart Research

Build practical AI benchmarks, trust infrastructure and decision-support products online from 13–15 November 2026 in Apart Research’s three-day sprint. The AI x Epistemics Research Sprint examines how AI is changing what people and institutions believe, how they make decisions and how they coordinate. Organised by Apart Research, an independent AI safety research organisation, the event challenges participants to turn open research questions into tangible tools, studies and prototypes that support a healthier information environment. What you’ll do Working solo or in a team of up to five, you’ll choose an open problem, develop a project over one weekend and write up your findings. Possible outputs include a benchmark, verification signal, research study or user-facing product. Reading lists, datasets, design sketches and worked examples are provided as starting points, and several suggested projects require no machine-learning skills. The sprint offers four tracks, including an open track for broader questions in the field. Named areas include: - Model epistemics and decision-making evaluations: test whether models understand the strength of their claims, express confidence accurately, oversell evidence or change their position under pressure. Projects may also investigate benchmark gaming and whether honesty scores predict better decisions. - Trust infrastructure: explore auditable source-reliability scoring, provenance, tamper-evident records and signals that help people and AI agents check claims and trace their origins. The wider goal is to make verification cheap, routine and difficult to manipulate. - Epistemic products: build and assess tools that improve real decisions, for example, evaluating advice users act upon, testing whether chatbots escalate disputes, creating briefings for consequential choices or surfacing disagreements and key cruxes within groups. - Open questions: tackle larger meta-level problems surrounding AI, knowledge, coordination and adoption.… Register for this event

San Francisco · Hyatt Regency, San Francisco

Hosted by QCon San Francisco / InfoQ

QCon San Francisco 2026 is where senior software practitioners gather to explore what's working in AI, architecture, leadership, and culture—straight from the teams already implementing these solutions in production. Taking place November 16-20, 2026 at the Hyatt Regency in San Francisco, this five-day event combines three days of conference sessions (Nov 16-18) with two days of hands-on training (Nov 19-20), giving you both strategic insight and practical skills to bring back to your team. Why Senior Engineers Attend QCon For over 20 years, QCon has been the trusted source for engineering leaders at companies like Amazon, Meta, Netflix, Google, Uber, and Goldman Sachs. This isn't another vendor-driven conference—it's a practitioner-led event where 60+ senior engineers share real-world implementation stories, architectural decisions, and lessons learned from building systems at scale. You'll hear from people who have already solved the problems you're facing, with candid discussions about what worked, what didn't, and why. What You'll Learn The conference focuses on four critical areas shaping modern software development: AI in Production — Move beyond the hype and learn how teams are actually deploying AI systems, managing model operations, and integrating machine learning into existing architectures. Discover practical approaches to AI governance, testing strategies for non-deterministic systems, and how to build teams that can ship AI features reliably. Software Architecture Evolution — Explore how leading engineering organizations are evolving their architectures to meet modern demands. From microservices patterns to platform engineering, from data mesh implementations to API design at scale, you'll see how architecture decisions impact velocity, reliability, and team productivity. AI Engineering Summit Berlin 2026

Berlin · Maritim Pro Arte Berlin

Hosted by Software & Support Media GmbH

AI Engineering Summit brings five days of hands-on enterprise AI training to the Maritim Pro Arte Berlin from 16–20 November 2026. Designed for teams moving beyond AI experiments, this inaugural event explores how to integrate coding agents, AI assistants and agentic workflows into real software delivery processes. Held in Berlin, the summit combines practical instruction with peer learning and problem-solving. Its programme includes five AI engineering tracks, more than 15 workshops, two deep-dive bootcamps and a dedicated Lab Day. Most training sessions feature hands-on exercises, best practices and live demonstrations rather than relying on theory alone. What the programme covers The five tracks address the technical and organisational challenges involved in adopting AI across enterprise engineering: - AI Software Engineering: Integrating coding agents and assistants into development, testing, code review and delivery with clear processes and standards. - Quality, Testing & AI Code Review: Using AI to support automated testing, intelligent reviews and higher software quality. - Enterprise AI Governance & Security: Establishing rules for data protection, intellectual property, compliance and controlled AI use across complex environments. - Legacy Modernisation with AI: Evolving established systems through gradual, traceable changes rather than a high-risk “big bang” rewrite. - Developer Experience & AI Toolchains: Avoiding tool sprawl and building a coherent AI toolchain for engineering teams. The Lab Day is a distinctive part of the format. Attendees work alongside experts and other software teams on genuine challenges drawn from day-to-day engineering. The emphasis is on developing concrete solutions, exchanging experience and transferring the lessons directly into participants’ own development organisations. Who should attend? This summit is aimed at software engineers, software architects, Tech Leads, Platform Engineers, Developer Experience teams, Engineering Managers and technical decision-makers. It is particularly relevant for organisations that already use or evaluate AI tools but now need to introduce them in a structured, secure and sustainable way.
