Hosted by Mindstone
Explore practical AI in Toronto on 13 October 2026 through three focused talks, live demonstrations and community networking. Mindstone’s monthly meetup brings together people interested in what artificial intelligence can already do,not just the surrounding hype. Running from 3:00pm to 6:00pm at St Paul’s Bloor Church, the event combines technical lessons, practical productivity guidance and wider discussion about AI’s influence on society. Three perspectives on practical AI The programme features three talks covering distinct aspects of the rapidly changing AI landscape: - What I Learned Building With LLMs , a technical breakdown of the process behind building an AI-powered product, grounded in real-life lessons and insights. - How To Be More Productive Using AI , a practical demonstration and step-by-step guide to using AI to complete tasks faster and improve the results. - What Does the Future Look Like With AI? , a theoretical exploration of how AI could affect work, everyday life and society. Together, these sessions offer a useful mix for people who are already building with large language models, professionals looking for practical ways to improve their workflows, and anyone who wants a clearer view of where AI may be heading. The format moves from hands-on product development to immediately applicable techniques and then to the bigger questions raised by widespread AI adoption. Talks, demos and new connections The meetup begins with doors opening, a welcome and an introduction before moving into the three main sessions. Closing remarks and next steps are followed by pizza, drinks and casual networking, giving attendees time to compare tools and projects, discuss ideas from the talks and meet other members of Toronto’s practical AI community. Organised by Mindstone, this is part of a recurring monthly series focused on cutting-edge applications and the projects shaping AI’s future. Attendance is free, but capacity is limited to 300 people, so booking ahead is recommended. Register for the Mindstone Toronto October AI Meetup.
