About this event

What to expect

Build practical physical AI workflows with FiftyOne at this hands-on workshop and meetup in Toronto on 11 November 2026.

Co-presented by Nebius and Voxel51, this three-hour, in-person event brings together people working across physical AI, robotics, machine learning and computer vision. It takes place from 5:30pm to 8:30pm EST in the Giovanni Room at the University of Toronto Conference Centre, 89 Chestnut Street.

What to expect

The evening combines practical learning with short talks and community networking. It begins with food, drinks and an opportunity to meet other attendees before moving into a hands-on workshop focused on building physical AI applications with FiftyOne.

During the workshop, attendees will explore workflows including:

  • Curating robotics and sensor datasets
  • Working with real-world visual data
  • Evaluating computer vision models
  • Using FiftyOne as part of a physical AI development process

The meetup then shifts into a series of lightning talks from local practitioners working in AI, machine learning and computer vision. The listed programme includes hosts Daniel Gural of Voxel51 and Dhruv Diddi of Nebius, with Andrei Barsan of Waabi AI appearing as the featured speaker. The event closes with more time to connect, discuss projects and exchange ideas with Toronto’s technical community.

Who should attend

This event is relevant to AI and machine learning practitioners, computer vision specialists, robotics builders, researchers and developers interested in the data and evaluation challenges behind physical AI systems. Its mix of guided workshop activity, practitioner talks and informal conversation also makes it useful for anyone looking to understand how teams curate sensor data and assess vision models against real-world datasets.

Workshop requirements

Bring a laptop if you want to participate in the practical session. Access to the workshop environment requires a company, university or government email address; personal or disposable addresses such as Gmail, Yahoo and Outlook cannot be used. This is a platform-wide fraud prevention and compliance policy. Attendees who need an exception should contact the hosts before the event.…
