Notion has released a Feedback Router agent designed to automate customer feedback triage, part of the company's broader push to make AI work as shared team context. The update, announced on LinkedIn, was featured in the company's Startup Stack series alongside insights from ada CX co-founder David Hariri.
The Feedback Router agent aims to streamline how teams handle incoming customer feedback by automatically categorizing and routing requests to the appropriate team members or databases. This automation addresses a common pain point for fast-growing startups: manually sorting through support tickets, feature requests, and bug reports consumes significant engineering and product time.
Integrating AI Output as Team Knowledge
Notion highlighted how leading teams are combining its platform with Anthropic's Claude to transform AI-generated insights into persistent, searchable team context. Rather than treating AI outputs as ephemeral chat responses, these workflows capture analysis, recommendations, and decisions directly into Notion databases where they become part of the team's institutional knowledge.
This approach builds on Notion's recent investments in its Developer Platform, which launched earlier this year with Workers, custom tools, and syncs that let developers connect external data sources to Notion databases. The platform's declarative schema and persistent cursor make it possible to continuously update records from systems like Zendesk, Linear, or custom APIs.

The Feedback Router fits within this ecosystem by providing a pre-built agent that teams can deploy without writing code, while still offering extensibility through Notion's tool-building framework for developers who need custom logic.
Custom Agents Gaining Traction
The Feedback Router is the latest addition to Notion's custom agents suite, following recent updates that added duplication features and support for Claude's more capable models. Companies like Rakuten France have built 80 agents with just a four-person team, demonstrating how Notion's agent architecture scales beyond simple automation.
The platform now supports multi-step workflows and complex reasoning tasks through integration with Anthropic's Claude models, which Notion added earlier this year. These capabilities enable agents to handle nuanced decisions, like determining whether feedback represents a bug, feature request, or support question, and routing accordingly.
Notion's approach differs from traditional workflow automation by embedding agents directly into the workspace where teams already collaborate. This positioning aims to reduce context switching and make AI capabilities accessible to non-technical team members who manage databases, wikis, and project trackers in Notion.
The company has not disclosed pricing for the Feedback Router agent or whether it requires a specific Notion plan tier. Teams interested in deploying custom agents can access Notion's Developer Platform documentation and example implementations on GitHub, including sample code for syncing support tickets and building custom tools.
