Bubble AI Agent Now Detects Installed Plugins and Recommends Marketplace Additions

Bubble's AI Agent can now see which plugins are already installed in your app and search the marketplace for missing ones worth adding. The update gives the AI Agent context about your existing plugin setup, allowing it to make informed recommendations when building new features or workflows.

The enhancement addresses a common friction point in no-code development: discovering and integrating the right third-party functionality. Rather than manually searching Bubble's marketplace or remembering which plugins are already installed, developers can now rely on the AI Agent to understand their current stack and suggest relevant additions.

How Plugin Awareness Works

The AI Agent now starts each conversation with knowledge of your app's installed plugins. When you describe a feature or workflow that could benefit from additional functionality, the agent can identify gaps in your current setup and search Bubble's marketplace for plugins that fill those gaps.

For example, if you're building a payment flow and don't have a payment processor installed, the agent can recognize this and surface relevant options from the marketplace. The system works automatically without requiring developers to manually specify their plugin inventory.

This builds on previous AI Agent improvements, including the ability to generate API Connector calls from plain language descriptions. The plugin awareness feature follows a similar pattern of reducing manual configuration work during development.

Streamlining Plugin Discovery

Bubble's marketplace includes hundreds of plugins covering payments, authentication, analytics, communication tools, and data sources. Finding the right plugin typically requires searching the marketplace separately from the development workflow.

With plugin awareness, that discovery process happens inline. The AI Agent can suggest plugins when they're contextually relevant to what you're building, rather than requiring you to pause development and browse the marketplace.

The feature also helps avoid redundant installations. Because the agent knows what's already in your app, it won't suggest plugins you've already added or recommend functionality that existing plugins already provide.

Integration With Development Workflow

The update fits into Bubble's broader push to make AI a core part of the development experience. The company has been steadily expanding what the AI Agent can do, from generating workflows to creating data structures to handling API integrations.

Plugin awareness represents another step toward an AI Agent that understands not just individual requests, but the full context of your application. That context includes your data model, existing workflows, installed plugins, and the relationships between them.

Bubble announced the feature on LinkedIn, noting the agent "comes to the table knowing exactly what plugins are in your app, and can go find what's missing in the marketplace when something's worth adding to your build."

The enhancement is available now to all Bubble users with access to the AI Agent feature.

AI Lets You Build Everything—Here’s Why You Still Never Launch

Tom Wesolowski, owner of NoCodeRefactoring.com, delivers a conference talk exposing how AI's ability to build anything has created a new problem: chronic overbuilding that prevents launches. Using a real marketplace project as a case study, he demonstrates how an 80% scope reduction transformed a stalled four-month development into a revenue-generating product launched in two weeks. The talk provides a practical framework for identifying the minimal viable customer loop and postponing everything else until real user demand validates the need.
