The End. Barcelona is a one-day, in-person conference exploring how AI will reshape clinical trials and the future of clinical research on 15 October 2026. Hosted by Biorce at Espai Diagonal in Barcelona, this high-trust gathering will bring pharma pioneers, biotech founders, researchers, regulators and investors into the same room for direct, practical conversations about what comes next. Clinical research at an inflection point The programme sits at the intersection of AI, scientific judgement and trial delivery. Across keynote presentations, expert panels and a live debate, planned topics include: - AI and the future of scientific judgement - AI governance, accountability and what regulators will accept - AI in clinical trials: separating signal from hype - Partners or platforms: the next operating model for CROs - Protocols as data and the drive to reduce protocol complexity - Recruitment realities and the points where trials actually fail - The human cost of slow medicine - Whether the randomised controlled trial remains the gold standard The full agenda and speaker line-up will be announced closer to the event. Who should attend? The End. is designed for people building, funding, regulating or conducting the next generation of clinical research. It will be particularly relevant to pharmaceutical leaders, biotech founders, clinical operations teams, researchers, regulators, investors and AI specialists working in healthcare or life sciences. The subject matter is industry-focused, but the varied format should make it useful both to senior decision-makers and practitioners seeking a clearer view of how AI may affect trials in practice. Running from 8:30am on Thursday 15 October, the event combines a full day of structured content with time for in-person networking.
