Perplexity Adds NVIDIA Nemotron 3 Super to AI Model Lineup

Perplexity has integrated NVIDIA's Nemotron 3 Super model into its platform, giving users access to the chip maker's latest AI technology across multiple products. The model is now available in Perplexity's core search interface, its Agent API for developers, and Computer, the company's AI assistant platform.

The integration, announced on LinkedIn, marks the latest expansion of Perplexity's model selection. The company has steadily added cutting-edge AI models to its platform, positioning itself as a model-agnostic platform where users can choose the best tool for their specific needs.

What Nemotron 3 Super Brings

NVIDIA's Nemotron series is designed for enterprise and developer use cases, with a focus on instruction-following and reasoning tasks. Nemotron 3 Super represents NVIDIA's latest iteration, though specific technical specifications were not detailed in the announcement.

For Perplexity users, this means another option when selecting which model powers their queries. The platform already supports more than 20 AI models, including OpenAI's GPT-5.4, Anthropic's Claude Sonnet 4.6, and Google's Gemini 3.1 Pro. Following the platform's recent expansion to Pro subscribers, model choice has become a key differentiator for Perplexity.

Developer Access Through Agent API

The Nemotron 3 Super integration extends to Perplexity's Agent API, which developers use to build AI-powered applications. This gives external teams the ability to leverage NVIDIA's model alongside other options in the API catalog.

Perplexity recently introduced a Sandbox API for isolated code execution, part of its broader push into developer tools. The Agent API serves as the foundation for third-party applications that need access to Perplexity's search and reasoning capabilities, now with NVIDIA's technology as an additional backend option.

Computer Platform Expansion

The model is also live in Perplexity Computer, the company's AI assistant product that runs as a standalone application. Computer launched earlier this year as a Mac Mini-based device and has since expanded to enterprise customers with Slack integration and premium research tools.

Computer users can now select Nemotron 3 Super when running queries or building automated workflows, joining the platform's existing lineup of frontier models.

The update continues Perplexity's strategy of rapid model adoption. The company has positioned itself as a platform layer between users and the latest AI models, rather than building a single proprietary model. This approach allows Perplexity to quickly integrate new releases from major AI labs, giving users and developers flexibility in choosing which model best fits their use case.

How to Get Your Product Recommended by Google and ChatGPT

Tanya Van Gastel presents the APEX framework for making products discoverable in AI-powered search engines like ChatGPT and Google's AI Overviews. She explains how AI is fundamentally changing product discovery and buyer behavior, then breaks down five critical components: Authority (being cited as a solution), Presence (visibility across search platforms), Expertise (creating high-quality money pages), Endorsements (off-site validation), and Extractability (making content easy for AI to process). The talk emphasizes quality over quantity, with data showing 50% of SaaS SEO revenue comes from fewer than 10 high-performing pages.
