Notion Lets ChatGPT Plans Cover AI Use Inside Workspaces

Notion now lets ChatGPT Plus and Pro subscribers use their existing plans to cover AI usage inside Notion. Connect the subscription, choose a GPT model and start using Notion’s AI features without buying a separate Notion AI subscription.

The change was announced in a LinkedIn post. It gives people who already pay for ChatGPT Plus or Pro a direct route into Notion’s AI tools using the subscription they already have.

How ChatGPT Plans Work in Notion

The setup has three parts. Users connect an eligible ChatGPT account to Notion, select a GPT model and begin using AI inside their workspace. The connected ChatGPT subscription then covers that AI usage.

  1. 1

    Connect your plan

link a ChatGPT Plus or Pro subscription to Notion

  2. 2

    Choose a model

select the GPT model you want to use

  3. 3

    Start working

use AI from inside your Notion workspace

The connection applies to individual ChatGPT Plus and Pro subscriptions. Both paid plans are named in the announcement. Free ChatGPT accounts are not included in the stated eligibility.

Model selection is part of the setup rather than a fixed choice made on the user’s behalf. This means the connection carries both subscription access and a choice of GPT model into Notion.

One Subscription Across Two Tools

The update changes how existing ChatGPT subscribers can pay for AI work in Notion. Their ChatGPT subscription now covers usage in both places, removing the need for an additional Notion AI subscription for this route.

It also sits alongside Notion’s wider work on workspace agents. Recent updates have given Notion Custom Agents the ability to call sub-agents and added default agent instructions across workspaces. This subscription connection provides another way to access AI within the same workspace.
