Notion AI Meeting Notes Now Integrates With Outlook Calendar

Outlook Users Get AI-Powered Meeting Notes

Notion has extended its AI Meeting Notes feature to support Outlook calendar, bringing automated transcription and note organization to Microsoft's ecosystem. The update makes upcoming meetings visible in Notion's sidebar, sends calendar-driven notifications, and generates detailed meeting note headers with attendee and event information.

The feature, announced on LinkedIn, arrives months after Notion Calendar added Outlook integration in January, creating a unified calendar experience across Google and Microsoft platforms. The AI Meeting Notes capability now extends that cross-platform support to automated meeting documentation.

How the Outlook Integration Works

The integration surfaces Outlook calendar events directly in Notion's interface. Users see a list of upcoming meetings in their sidebar, mirroring the experience already available for Google Calendar users. When meetings begin, Notion can automatically join, transcribe conversations, and generate AI-powered summaries.

Meeting note headers now pull in rich metadata from Outlook events, including participant lists and event details. This contextual information helps teams quickly identify relevant notes and understand who participated in discussions without opening calendar apps separately.

The update uses the same AI transcription and summarization engine Notion introduced for Google Calendar meetings. Notes are stored as Notion pages, making them searchable alongside other team documentation and allowing users to link meeting outcomes to project pages, tasks, or wikis.

Expanding AI Capabilities

The Outlook update follows Notion's broader push into AI-powered productivity tools. The company recently introduced its Developer Platform, which includes support for building custom AI agents that can access Notion databases and create content programmatically.

Notion's AI Meeting Notes compete with standalone tools like Granola and features built into video conferencing platforms. By integrating meeting intelligence directly into its workspace, Notion positions itself as a central hub where calendar events, transcripts, and project documentation live together.

The feature requires a Notion AI add-on subscription and works with both personal and team workspaces. Microsoft 365 users can connect their Outlook accounts through Notion's settings, where they'll find options to enable automatic meeting joins and configure notification preferences.

For teams already managing projects and documentation in Notion, the Outlook integration removes friction from the meeting-to-notes workflow. Rather than manually copying details from calendar invites or typing up discussion points after calls, users can let Notion handle the documentation automatically while they focus on the conversation.
