Make Launches Transparent AI Agents with Real-Time Reasoning Panel Across 3,000 Apps

Make Tackles AI's Black Box Problem with Visual Agent Platform

Make has released AI Agents, a visual platform for building and deploying autonomous AI systems that shows exactly how decisions are made. The platform addresses one of AI's most persistent challenges: opacity in automated decision-making.

The core differentiator is a real-time reasoning panel that displays every step an AI agent takes, from initial input to final action. Users can monitor how agents process information, which APIs they call, and why they choose specific paths. This level of visibility is critical for teams that need to verify AI decisions before scaling to production, following Make's recent integration of OpenAI's latest models.

Make AI Agents runs on the company's existing infrastructure, which connects to over 3,000 applications including Slack, Airtable, and Notion. Agents can orchestrate multi-step workflows across these tools without custom code. A customer service agent, for example, might pull data from a CRM, generate a response using OpenAI or Claude, update support tickets, and notify team members automatically.

The platform handles routing and error handling through Make's scenario builder. If an API fails or returns unexpected data, agents can retry with different parameters or escalate to human review rather than halting execution.

Three Features Keep Agents Grounded

Make includes three mechanisms to prevent AI agents from generating inaccurate outputs:

Knowledge bases let teams upload reference documents, FAQs, or policy guidelines that agents query before responding. This ensures answers stay within documented parameters.

Pre-built templates provide tested workflows for common use cases like lead qualification, invoice processing, or content moderation. Teams can deploy these directly or customize them for specific requirements.

Make MCP (Model Context Protocol) integration allows agents to access real-time data from connected applications. Instead of relying solely on training data, agents can pull current information from CRMs, databases, or internal tools during execution.

The reasoning panel shows token usage per step, helping teams estimate costs before deploying agents at scale. Users can set spending limits and receive alerts when agents approach thresholds.

Available Now Across All Plan Tiers

Make AI Agents is available immediately to all users, including those on free plans. The company positions this as a shift from experimental AI tools to production-ready systems that businesses can audit and control.

Companies already using Make's automation platform can add AI agent capabilities to existing scenarios. For organizations currently running agents on platforms like Zapier, n8n, or BuildShip, Make's approach offers native visibility without requiring additional monitoring tools.

The release follows Make's first AI hackathon in São Paulo and comes ahead of the company's Make Waves '26 conference in Prague this October. Documentation and templates are available on the Make AI Agents landing page.

The AI-Native Solopreneur: Build Without a Technical Co-Founder

Effie Bersoux presents a paradigm shift in entrepreneurship where AI enables solo founders to build, validate, and scale businesses without technical co-founders or significant capital. Drawing from Growth Girls' experience building 40+ companies in one year and going from a £4m exit (7 years) to a £40m acquisition target (1 year), she demonstrates how AI breaks the traditional capital-talent-traction loop that disadvantages undercapitalized founders. The talk provides concrete frameworks for AI-native operating models, automation decision-making, and rapid idea-to-market validation.

The Mindset Shift That's Creating AI Native Companies

Former HMRC Deputy IT Director Ashraf Murtada shares a framework for understanding AI maturity through three levels: AI Assistance (demanding specific outputs), AI Agents (autonomous systems like Team Brain that join meetings and generate documentation), and AI Coding (building complete applications in hours instead of months). The presentation includes live demos of games, internal tools, and SaaS products built rapidly with AI, arguing that software development is becoming commoditized and traditional MVP timelines are collapsing from 6 months to 6 weeks.
