Adalo Says Ada Apps Use 20% Less CPU

Ada-generated apps in Adalo use 20% less CPU overall than apps built with Classic Adalo, according to a test using the same app and 20,000 posts. CPU use dropped by up to 32% while typing.

The benchmark, shared in a LinkedIn post, ran the apps on two iPhones with a CPU gauge on each device. The Classic Adalo version appeared on the left and the Ada-generated version on the right.

The apps were tested while scrolling through lists. Classic Adalo kept the CPU active throughout the scroll. Ada used the CPU in short bursts before going quiet. Images also arrived with every card in the Ada-generated app.

Ada Makes Lower CPU Use the Default

No manual optimisation was applied to the Ada version. The CPU behaviour shown in the test is what Ada produces by default when it generates an app.

Ada is Adalo’s AI app builder. Builders describe an app and Ada generates it, including its screens and underlying functionality. The product was introduced as a way to generate complete apps from a description, as covered in our Ada launch report.

The new comparison focuses on two common actions inside a data-heavy app: moving through a long list and entering text. Adalo’s figures cover overall CPU use and typing specifically, while the side-by-side recording shows the devices’ CPU graphs during scrolling.

Frequently asked questions

What is Ada in Adalo?

Ada is an AI app builder that generates an app from a written description. In this benchmark, an app generated by Ada used less CPU than the same app built with Classic Adalo.

How does Ada compare with Classic Adalo?

Adalo’s test found that the Ada-generated app used 20% less CPU overall and up to 32% less while typing. During list scrolling, Classic Adalo kept the CPU active, while Ada worked in short bursts and then went quiet.

Which Adalo plan includes Ada?

The post does not name a plan or price for Ada. It presents the measured performance as the default output from the AI app builder.
