Adalo Adds Aggregated Bar Chart Component to Marketplace

Adalo announced on LinkedIn the addition of an Aggregated Bar Chart component to its Marketplace. The new component includes built-in grouping and aggregation capabilities, supporting count, sum, average, minimum, and maximum functions. This marks the 35th component published to the Marketplace, part of an ongoing expansion aimed at helping app builders visualize and summarize data without custom code.

The Aggregated Bar Chart addresses a common pain point for no-code app builders: transforming grouped data into visual summaries. Instead of requiring users to pre-process data in external tools or write custom logic, the component handles aggregation natively. Users can select a dataset, choose a grouping field, and apply one of five aggregation methods to generate charts directly within their apps.

Built-In Aggregation Functions

The component supports five aggregation types:

  • Count: Number of records in each group
  • Sum: Total of a numeric field across records
  • Average: Mean value of a numeric field
  • Min: Smallest value in a group
  • Max: Largest value in a group

These options cover the most frequent use cases for business dashboards, analytics screens, and reporting tools built on Adalo. For example, an inventory app could group products by category and sum quantities, while a fitness tracker might average workout durations by week.

Adalo's Marketplace model allows both the company and third-party developers to publish reusable components. The addition of developer-submitted components has accelerated the library's growth, though Adalo has not disclosed how many of the 35 components are community-contributed versus internally built.

Ongoing Component Expansion

Adalo indicated that more components are in the pipeline, though no specific roadmap or timeline was provided. The company has been steadily building out its Marketplace as a differentiator in the no-code mobile app space, competing with platforms like Glide and Thunkable.

This release follows Adalo's launch of SheetBridge, which allows users to build native mobile apps powered by Google Sheets data. The Aggregated Bar Chart component complements SheetBridge workflows, enabling users to pull in spreadsheet data and immediately visualize aggregated metrics without intermediate processing.

The component is available now in the Adalo Marketplace. Pricing and availability details were not disclosed, though most Marketplace components follow either a freemium or one-time purchase model.
