Mark Probst and Jason Smith, co-founders of Glide, have launched Fling, a deployment platform designed to simplify publishing web apps created with Claude Code. The tool went live with a free tier supporting up to five projects.
Fling addresses a friction point in AI-assisted development: while coding agents like Claude Code can generate functional applications, deploying them to the web typically requires infrastructure knowledge that many users lack. Probst and Smith spent roughly two months building Fling on the premise that adding a straightforward "publish button" would make Claude Code accessible to a broader audience.
What Fling Handles
The platform automates bundling, deployment, databases, cron jobs, storage, secrets management, and routing. Users work with Claude Code to build their application, then run a single command to deploy. Fling packages the project and makes it available at a flingit.run URL.
The service targets what the team calls "Small Software": websites, personal productivity tools, Slack and Discord bots, dashboards, prototypes, and games. The team explicitly notes Fling is not intended for SaaS products, mission-critical systems, or compute-intensive applications.
Pricing reflects this positioning. The free tier includes one project with frontend and backend support, 1 million requests per month, 50MB database storage, and 1GB file storage. A personal tier at $5 per month (currently listed as "coming soon") will offer five projects with higher limits, plus cron jobs and bot integrations. Enterprise pricing is available on request.

Built for Coding Agents
While Fling currently focuses on Claude Code integration, the documentation indicates it can work with other coding agents if prompted correctly. The approach differs from established platforms like Vercel, Railway, or AWS by optimizing specifically for AI-generated code rather than traditional development workflows.
Glide itself has been expanding its AI capabilities, positioning its no-code platform for operations apps alongside this new developer-focused tool. The company published a research paper detailing the technical implementation, though the practical focus remains on rapid deployment rather than infrastructure management.
Fling is accessible at flingit.io. The company has confirmed plans for paid tiers but maintains the free option for single-project users.
