ElevenLabs SFX v3 Improves Multi-Sound Prompts and Vocals

SFX v3 is ElevenLabs’ latest model for generating original sound effects from text prompts. It produces more natural audio, follows prompts more closely and improves both music and vocals.

The model is available now in ElevenCreative and ElevenAPI. According to the LinkedIn post, ElevenCreative users can access it through Flows, the Sound Effects tab, Studio and the Music Editor.

Prompts can describe an individual sound, such as a camera shutter, or include more context and character. ElevenLabs gives rain against a window, footsteps on gravel and complete scenes containing action and atmosphere as examples.

What SFX v3 Changes

Compared with SFX v2, the new model improves three parts of audio generation:

AreaWhat changed in SFX v3
Multi-sound promptsBetter handling of several sounds described in one prompt
Music and vocalsImproved music generation and new support for vocals
Sound effectsMore accurate sound quality across generated effects

The multi-sound update lets a prompt contain several audio elements. A scene can include action and atmosphere, while the model uses the detail and context in the prompt to shape the result.

Vocal support also expands the type of audio SFX v3 can generate. It sits alongside the model’s improved music generation rather than being limited to isolated environmental or mechanical effects.

Using SFX v3 in ElevenCreative and ElevenAPI

Inside ElevenCreative, SFX v3 appears in several parts of the production workflow. Flows can include generated audio, the Sound Effects tab provides direct access, Studio supports it within a wider project, and the Music Editor adds it to music work.

ElevenAPI makes the same model available to products and automated workflows. Builders can send text descriptions to the model rather than limiting SFX v3 to work created inside the ElevenCreative interface.

The release follows other additions to the creative workspace, including ElevenLabs’ Brand Kit for keeping ElevenCreative work on-brand.
