About this event

What to expect

AI agents are transforming professional workflows from theory into practice, and this Toronto event brings together industry leaders from IBM, Q4, and Onyx Platform to share real-world experiences of deploying and working with AI agents at scale. Whether you're a business leader, product manager, developer, or simply curious about how AI is reshaping the workplace, this session offers practical insights into the opportunities and challenges of agentic AI in 2026.

What You'll Experience

The event features three focused 10-minute presentations from practitioners on the front lines of AI agent deployment. Nick Howard, co-founder of Onyx Platform and former CTO of a company acquired for $2.35B, will share how coding agents have eliminated software development bottlenecks at his insurance distribution startup. Amna Jamal, IBM Canada's Watsonx Technical Leader with expertise in DataOps, ModelOps, and AgentOps, will discuss enterprise-scale agent deployment. Shuai Zhong, Senior Director of Product Management at Q4 Inc., will demonstrate how AI agents are supercharging daily workflows for a platform serving over half the S&P 500.

Following the presentations, moderator Brian Keng — Research Director at RBC Borealis and Adjunct Professor at Rotman — will lead a 45-minute panel discussion and audience Q&A exploring the future of work in an AI-augmented world. The evening concludes with a networking reception where attendees can connect with speakers and industry peers.
