What to expect

Explore how self-driving AI products observe, act and improve in production at technical talks from Merge, PostHog and Redis in New York on 27 August.

Taking place from 6:00–8:00pm EDT on Thursday, 27 August 2026, this practical evening brings together three infrastructure companies to examine what it takes to run dependable AI features beyond the prototype stage. Expect technical explanations and live demos covering the systems that help autonomous products make decisions, access current information and learn from production behaviour.

What the talks will cover

The programme focuses on the core building blocks behind fast, reliable AI products:

  • Model routing and connections between agents, models, tools and business systems
  • AI observability, including tracing model calls, evaluating outputs and identifying production issues
  • Real-time context and persistent memory for agents
  • Vector search and semantic caching at production scale
  • Infrastructure that allows AI products to observe, act and improve

Merge will discuss its role as a connectivity layer for AI, helping teams connect products and agents without building every integration from scratch. PostHog will explore how product analytics and AI observability can reveal what models and AI features are doing in production. Redis will bring its perspective on in-memory data, search, fresh context and persistent agent memory.

Talks, demos and a community showcase

After food and informal networking, the evening moves through three 20-minute technical talk and Q&A sessions: Merge at 6:20pm, PostHog at 6:40pm and Redis at 7:00pm. At 7:20pm, four community presenters will each receive five minutes to demonstrate a working product or prototype and explain how it works. Builders with something relevant to the self-driving product theme can apply for the community showcase.

The event is particularly relevant to AI engineers, product developers, agent builders and technical founders interested in production AI, automation and real-time infrastructure. It combines implementation-focused content with Q&A and networking, making it a useful opportunity to compare approaches and meet others building AI products across New York.…
