Singapore · Lorong AI @ One-North
Hosted by Lorong AI
Explore how AI-powered robots move beyond controlled labs at this technical session in Singapore on 28 October 2026, covering embodied AI, VLA models and edge intelligence. Part of Lorong AI’s weekly AI Wednesdays series and presented with IMDA, this in-person event brings together researchers, practitioners and innovators for three research-to-deployment talks: - Soujanya Poria, Associate Professor at NTU, will examine what generalist physical agents still need beyond better actions. Drawing on GE-Act 2.0, MemBodied and RoboQuest, he will discuss fast control, persistent memory, evidence gathering, planning and verification. - Raphael Yee, Director of Griffin Labs, will explain how his team built Griffin Alpha, an open-weight vision-language-action model developed in Singapore, why it was open-sourced and how Alpha-S performs across robotics benchmarks. - Dr Ernest Tan, Assistant Professor at SIT’s Infocomm Technology Cluster, will explore edge intelligence for responsive, reliable robotics. Topics include 5G/6G communications, distributed AI, inference-aware offloading and applications in facilities management, public safety and the built environment. Event details Wednesday 28 October 2026, 3:00–5:00 PM GMT+8 Lorong AI @ One-North, Vidacity Building, Level 3, The Collider (Entrance B), 69 Ayer Rajah Crescent, Singapore 139961.
