v0 Adds Glean Integration for Company-Aware App Building

v0 is plugging company knowledge directly into its AI app builder through a new Glean integration, giving teams a way to generate interfaces, application flows and copy from their internal documents rather than repeatedly pasting context into prompts.

The company announced the integration on LinkedIn on December 22. Once a Glean workspace is connected, v0 says it can use material such as product requirements documents, internal technical documentation and product updates as context during generation.

That addresses a persistent limitation of AI-assisted development. An AI builder may be able to produce a plausible interface quickly, but it cannot account for a company's terminology, requirements or existing processes unless someone supplies that information. Connecting Glean turns those internal resources into accessible project context.

What Teams Can Build With Glean Context

v0 highlighted three initial use cases:

  • Generate authentication flows from internal documentation, helping a prototype reflect an organization's documented login or account requirements.
  • Design UI prototypes from product requirements documents, allowing teams to move from a PRD stored in Glean to an initial working interface.
  • Draft website copy from recent product updates, reducing the need to manually assemble source material before generating a page.

The practical benefit is less prompt preparation. A product manager could ask v0 to create a prototype from an existing requirements document instead of summarizing it in a long message. Similarly, a founder or marketer building a launch page could reference current product information already available through the connected workspace.

This does not eliminate the need for review. Internal documentation may be incomplete, contradictory or out of date, and generated authentication code should still receive security and engineering scrutiny before reaching production. The integration is best understood as a faster route to a context-aware draft, not a guarantee that every generated implementation complies with company policy.

Why the Integration Matters

For smaller businesses, company knowledge is often scattered across specifications, launch notes and process documents. Even when that information is searchable through Glean, moving it into an app-building session remains a manual task. The new connection narrows that gap by placing retrieval and generation in the same workflow.

It also expands v0's role beyond isolated prompt-to-interface generation. The product has been moving toward broader development and automation use cases, including the v0 API for agents and automated workflows and a usage and activity dashboard for AI cost tracking. Glean adds an enterprise knowledge layer to that direction.

The announcement leaves several operational questions unanswered. v0 did not specify plan requirements, additional pricing, setup steps or how administrators can control which Glean sources are available during a session. It also did not detail whether citations or source references appear alongside generated results. Teams evaluating the connection should check permissions carefully and confirm that users can access only the internal material appropriate to their roles.

Availability appears immediate, with v0 directing users to try the connection through v0.app. Organizations handling sensitive technical or customer information should review both products' access controls and data policies before connecting a workspace.

Frequently asked questions

What is the v0 Glean integration?

The v0 Glean integration connects an organization's Glean workspace to v0 so the app builder can use internal company knowledge as generation context. v0 says this can include technical documents, product requirements and recent product updates.

What can teams create with the integration?

The announced examples include authentication flows based on internal documentation, UI prototypes based on PRDs and website copy based on current product updates. Generated work should still be reviewed for accuracy, security and consistency with company requirements.

How much does the v0 Glean integration cost?

The announcement did not provide pricing or specify which v0 or Glean plans are required. Teams will need to check the products' current account and integration settings for eligibility before deployment.
