PostHog now connects directly to Google Search Console, allowing users to build SEO dashboards and combine search performance data with product analytics in a single platform.
The integration surfaces standard Search Console metrics including clicks, impressions, click-through rate, average position, top queries, top pages, and device breakdown. According to a LinkedIn post from a user, the dashboard can be built in roughly 10 minutes using PostHog's built-in AI.
Joining Search and Behavioral Data
The key differentiator is the ability to correlate search performance with on-site user behavior. Users can now answer questions like which search queries actually drive conversions or leads, and which pages rank well in search results but produce poor engagement metrics once visitors arrive.
This addresses a common gap in analytics workflows. Teams typically juggle Search Console for acquisition data and a separate product analytics tool for behavior tracking. PostHog's approach consolidates both datasets, making it possible to trace the full journey from search result to conversion without manual data exports or complex integrations.
For example, a SaaS company could identify that a high-ranking blog post drives significant organic traffic but produces a low conversion rate compared to other acquisition channels. That insight might prompt changes to the page's call-to-action placement or content structure.

AI-Assisted Dashboard Creation
PostHog's AI dashboard builder appears to accelerate the setup process. Rather than manually configuring visualizations and metrics, users can describe what they want to track and the system generates the appropriate charts and filters. The reported 10-minute build time suggests a low-code approach to what would traditionally require custom SQL queries or third-party dashboard tools.
The company has been expanding its AI capabilities across its platform. It recently launched Replay Vision to automate session replay analysis and deployed AI agents that handled over 6,000 error tracking issues in a single month.
PostHog competes with Google Analytics and other web analytics platforms, but positions itself as an open-source alternative with a focus on product teams rather than marketing departments. The platform combines product analytics, feature flags, session replay, A/B testing, and now SEO data in a single interface.
The Search Console integration is available now to PostHog users. The company has not specified whether it is limited to specific pricing tiers or available across all plans.
