Noloco Adds Pagination, Infinite Scroll, and Load More for Large Record Sets

Noloco has added three new record loading methods to help users manage large data sets without performance hits or endless scrolling. The update, announced on LinkedIn in mid-June, applies across all list layouts in the platform and gives app builders direct control over how records appear as data volume grows.

The new loading options include pagination for page-by-page navigation, infinite scroll that auto-loads records as users browse, and a load more button that fetches additional records on demand. Teams can choose the method that fits their workflow, whether they're scanning client projects in an agency portal or reviewing inventory in a warehouse app.

Noloco positions the update as a usability fix for a common pain point: lists that start manageable but become sluggish or overwhelming as businesses scale. By breaking records into chunks, the platform reduces initial load times and lets users browse without waiting for hundreds or thousands of rows to render at once.

Why Loading Methods Matter at Scale

Most no-code app builders default to loading all records upfront or offer a single pagination model. Noloco now lets users pick the approach that matches their use case. Pagination works well when users need to jump to a specific page or count total records. Infinite scroll suits dashboards or feeds where continuous browsing feels natural. The load more button gives users control over when they fetch additional data, useful in mobile apps or bandwidth-constrained environments.

The update builds on recent improvements to Noloco's data handling. The platform overhauled filtering and sorting earlier this year to speed up searches across large record sets, and added record history tracking for audit trails in agency projects. Together, these features make it easier to build apps that handle thousands of records without custom code or database tuning.

The loading methods apply to all list components: tables, grids, cards, and kanban boards. Teams don't need to rebuild layouts or migrate data. Existing apps can switch loading modes in the builder settings without affecting permissions, workflows, or integrations.

How It Compares to Other Platforms

No-code platforms like Glide, Softr, and WeWeb have long offered pagination or lazy loading for performance. Airtable views default to loading all records but let users set row limits. Bubble requires manual pagination setup through repeating groups and custom workflows. Noloco's update puts these options directly in the interface without requiring formula fields or advanced settings.

For teams using Xano or Supabase as a backend, the new loading methods integrate with existing API pagination standards. Noloco passes offset and limit parameters automatically, so developers don't need to rewrite queries or endpoints.

Noloco has not announced whether the update includes server-side filtering or search enhancements. The platform's docs and support channels have not yet published detailed guides on configuring the new loading modes or optimizing performance for datasets beyond 10,000 records.
