Build a production-ready real-time video AI agent in New York on 9 October 2026, with expert support, GPU compute and a ready-to-use builder stack. The VAST Builders Challenge is a one-day technical hack event for turning video archives into useful, searchable AI applications. Rather than starting from scratch, teams receive videos, infrastructure and development tools so they can focus on creating a shippable prototype. This New York edition forms part of a three-city series spanning New York, London and San Francisco. What you’ll build Choose your own video-agent concept and experiment with a stack covering: - Video understanding: reason over clips using NVIDIA Cosmos - Semantic search: find moments across hours of footage with natural-language queries - Object detection: run real-time detection and tracking across frames with YOLO - LLM-powered logic: use models from Weights & Biases to drive agent behaviour and application workflows The VAST AI OS handles video ingestion and the data layer, while models run on CoreWeave GPUs. Builders will ship using Cursor, with expert guidance and compute available throughout the day. Format and schedule Doors open at 8:30am EDT with breakfast, followed by opening keynotes at 9:00am. Building begins at 9:30am and continues through lunch before teams present demos at 4:30pm. The event concludes with awards at 6:30pm. Projects will be assessed by AI and infrastructure specialists from NVIDIA, VAST Data, CoreWeave and Weights & Biases, including Diego Garzon, Ravi Garg, Ram B., Brian Verkley, Prashanth Nalubandhu, Brandon Kates and Vera A. Turn a neglected workflow into a working AI automation at this hands-on Miro × n8n hackathon in New York on 28 September 2026. Running from 2:00–7:00 PM EDT at OASIS by Workville, this fast-paced build session challenges teams to move from structured visual thinking to a functional automation in just a few hours. You will map an idea in Miro, build it with n8n, and then close the loop by having the automation write results back to the original board. From diagram to automation Bring a stalled work project, an under-resourced idea or a deprioritised workflow that would benefit from automation. You can arrive with an existing team or find teammates onsite. The build process has three connected stages: - Design in Miro: define the problem, triggers, steps and desired output as a visual workflow. The finished board becomes both your blueprint and part of your pitch. - Build in n8n: use AI and MCP to translate the diagram into an operational workflow, connecting services, triggering actions and moving data between systems. - Write back to Miro: make the workflow populate sticky notes, update cards or boards, or respond to activity taking place on the board. The goal is to leave with either a working prototype or clear, demonstrable progress, not simply another diagram or planning document. Demo and judging format Each qualifying team must have at least four members and will pitch live to the judges. The final submission includes: - A 2.5-minute demonstration explaining the problem, automation and Miro output - A shared Miro board containing the workflow diagram, process map and final layout - An exported or shared n8n workflow showing the automation logic Three teams will be selected as winners and receive standout prizes. Who should take part? This hackathon is designed for product, operations, engineering and cross-functional teams with real work to unblock. It also suits makers and automators who enjoy building under time constraints, particularly anyone who has repeatedly identified a process that “should be automated” but has never had the time or resources to tackle it.… Register for this event

WorkshopIn person

New York · 16 W 61st St, Manhattan, NY 10023

Hosted by Bryana Rodriguez; Chris D'Antonio; Prof. Kevin Park

This hands-on workshop offers UX and product designers a rare opportunity to see AI automation in action — not through slides, but through live, production-ready systems that transform how creative teams work. Hosted at NYIT Manhattan, the session explores how Claude and n8n can power end-to-end workflows that generate content, orchestrate data, and build scalable design systems. What Makes This Workshop Unique Bryana Rodriguez, UX engineer and AI specialist, will demonstrate her graduate thesis project: an n8n-powered AI pipeline that pulls live trends, processes structured data, generates multi-platform content, and measures performance metrics — all running autonomously. You'll see how agent-based workflows can handle high-volume automation while maintaining quality and consistency across channels. Chris D'Antonio, UX engineer and AI specialist, will showcase Claude Code-to-Figma MCP workflows that translate prompt-driven logic directly into interface components. Watch as structured reasoning flows seamlessly into Figma design systems, demonstrating how AI can bridge the gap between concept and visual execution. Key Learning Outcomes - Agent-Based Workflows: Design systems where LLMs function as decision layers, not just isolated chat tools - Production Automation: Build repeatable pipelines that move beyond one-off prompts to scalable infrastructure - Claude-to-Figma Integration: Transform prompt logic into structured design components using MCP workflows - Real-Time Orchestration: See how n8n coordinates data ingestion, content generation, and platform routing in live demos - Systems Thinking: Shift from task automation to designing autonomous infrastructure that scales your creative output This isn't theory — it's working code, live pipelines, and real design systems built by practitioners who use these tools daily. You'll leave with a framework for implementing AI as infrastructure in your own workflow, understanding how to orchestrate tools like Claude, n8n, and Figma into cohesive automation systems. Bring your laptop — this is a hands-on session designed for designers and product teams ready to move beyond prompt engineering into systematic AI implementation. Light refreshments and networking follow the workshop. Find more AI events in [New York](https://ww

New York · NYIT, 16 W 61st St, 11th Floor, New York, NY 10023

Hosted by NYC User Experience & Digital Product Designers

Join us in New York for an intensive, hands-on workshop where AI becomes infrastructure, not just a tool. This session is designed for UX and product designers ready to move beyond basic prompts and build production-ready automation systems that generate design assets, orchestrate multi-platform workflows, and scale creative output. What Makes This Different This isn't a slide deck presentation. You'll witness working AI systems in action — real pipelines processing data, generating content, and connecting directly into design tools. Bryana Rodriguez, UX engineer and AI specialist, will demonstrate her graduate thesis project: a complete n8n-powered content automation pipeline that pulls live trends, structures data, generates platform-specific outputs, and tracks performance metrics end-to-end. Chris D'Antonio, UX engineer and AI specialist, will show how Claude Code workflows connect directly to Figma through MCP (Model Context Protocol), transforming prompt logic into interface components and scalable design systems. What You'll Learn You'll explore how to architect agent-based workflows for creative teams, moving from isolated AI interactions to repeatable, high-volume automation pipelines. See how LLMs function as decision layers within larger systems, not just standalone chat interfaces. Understand the mindset shift from designing individual screens to designing autonomous systems that handle routine creative tasks while you focus on strategic thinking. Live Demonstrations Include - Real-time n8n automation processing live data and routing content across platforms - Claude Code-to-Figma MCP workflows generating structured design components - Agent-driven logic orchestrating complex creative workflows - Production-ready systems that scale design operations Who Should Attend This workshop is ideal for UX designers, product designers, design engineers, and anyone building digital products who wants to leverage AI as foundational infrastructure. You'll leave with practical frameworks for reimagining your workflow around autonomous systems. Technical Requirements To participate fully, bring: - Claude Pro account (for Claude CLI) - Figma Professional account (Educational accounts also work) - n8n Professional account (free trial
