Kajabi Cofounder turns a plain-English request into a draft automation, connecting its triggers and actions without asking the user to wire each step manually.
The feature is now in beta. According to Kajabi’s LinkedIn announcement, people can describe the automation they want, review the resulting draft, make adjustments and publish it when it is ready.
Cofounder is not the only way to start the process. A connected AI agent such as Claude or ChatGPT can also draft the automation inside Kajabi.
How Kajabi Cofounder Changes Automation Building
Kajabi’s previous automation workflow required the user to select and connect each trigger and action. The new workflow begins with the intended outcome instead.
A user describes what should happen. Cofounder interprets that request and prepares the automation structure behind the scenes. The user can then inspect what it created before anything is published.
| Stage | Previous workflow | Cofounder workflow |
|---|---|---|
| Starting point | Select a trigger and action | Describe the intended automation |
| Setup | Connect each part manually | Cofounder drafts the connections |
| Review | Check the manually assembled workflow | Review and adjust the generated draft |
| Activation | Publish the completed automation | Publish only when the draft is ready |
This keeps the existing review step. Cofounder produces a draft rather than immediately switching on an automation. Changes can be made between generation and publication.
The same model applies when the request starts in a connected agent. Kajabi has a connection guide for Claude and ChatGPT, placing those tools alongside Cofounder as interfaces for creating the draft.
That builds on Kajabi’s MCP integration, which connects Kajabi with external AI chat tools. Cofounder provides a Kajabi-native route, while connected agents offer another route for people already working in Claude or ChatGPT.
From Request to Published Automation
The announced workflow has four clear stages. Drafting and publishing remain separate, so the generated result can be checked and changed before it goes live.
- 1
Describe the outcome
tell Cofounder or a connected agent what the automation should do
- 2
Generate the draft
let the agent connect the relevant triggers and actions
- 3
Review and adjust
inspect the proposed automation and change it where needed
- 4
Publish the automation
activate it when the draft is right
The main interface shift happens at the first stage. Instead of translating an idea into individual automation components before setup begins, the user starts with a description. Cofounder handles the initial translation into triggers and actions.
The later stages still belong to the user. Kajabi explicitly includes review, adjustment and publication in the flow. The beta does not remove the ability to inspect the automation before activation.
This differs from Kajabi’s Expert Agents, which are presented as AI teammates for sales and support. Cofounder’s announced role here is narrower: drafting automations and assembling their underlying trigger-action structure.
Beta Access and Control
Cofounder is available in beta. Kajabi has not attached a broader release date to the announcement.
The beta label applies to the natural-language automation workflow. Users can draft through Cofounder or through a connected Claude or ChatGPT agent, then review the proposed setup inside the Kajabi workflow before publication.
Control remains explicit at each end of the process. The user supplies the request at the beginning and decides whether the resulting automation is ready at the end. Cofounder handles the assembly between those points.
For existing automation builders, the material change is not a new trigger or action. It is a new way to assemble them. The manual configuration route described in the announcement is replaced by a generated first draft, while review and publishing stay in human hands.
Frequently asked questions
What is Kajabi Cofounder?
Cofounder is an AI feature that drafts Kajabi automations from a written description. It connects the triggers and actions behind the scenes, after which the user can review, adjust and publish the automation.
How does Cofounder compare with building Kajabi automations manually?
Manual setup requires the user to wire up each trigger and action. Cofounder starts with a description of the desired result and drafts those connections automatically. The user still reviews and publishes the finished automation.
Can Claude or ChatGPT build Kajabi automations?
Yes. Kajabi says a connected Claude or ChatGPT agent can draft an automation and connect its triggers and actions. The resulting draft can be reviewed and adjusted before publication.
When is Kajabi Cofounder available?
Cofounder is now in beta. Kajabi has not announced a date for a wider release.
