Circle has added breakout rooms to live events, letting hosts divide participants into up to 10 smaller groups before bringing everyone back to the main room with one click.

The feature is designed for small-group discussion, practice and networking within a larger live event. Hosts can move between the full event and its smaller sessions without setting up separate events for each group.

Circle shared the launch through two LinkedIn updates, with the first post announcing the new live-event format and a second post carrying the same details.

The host starts with a live event, splits it into as many as 10 breakout rooms, and runs the smaller sessions inside that event. When the breakout portion is finished, one click recalls every participant to the main room.

The update gives Circle events two group formats inside the same session. The main room holds the full audience, while breakout rooms provide smaller spaces for the activities listed in the announcement.

A course host could use the format for practice sessions. A community event could divide a discussion across several rooms. A networking session could place attendees into smaller groups, then recall the full event for a shared closing section. These are the three uses Circle names for the feature.

This release follows Circle’s launch of public webinars for open community events, extending the event formats available within the platform.
