What to expect

Learn how to take an AI-generated app from prompt to production in this beginner-friendly live build with Stripe and Netlify, streaming on 25 August 2026.

This one-hour YouTube livestream tackles the practical gap between having an app idea and getting a working product live on the internet. Rather than relying on a long slide deck or a pre-built repository, two experienced engineers will demonstrate the complete workflow in real time using a terminal, AI-native tooling and an app that ends up in production.

From prompt to a deployed app

Colin Wren, Software Engineer at Stripe, will begin with Stripe’s projects.dev. He’ll show how to prompt your way towards a real backend, provisioning services through the command line instead of moving between dashboards, signup flows and downloaded keys.

Seán Mc Ternan, Manager of Solutions Architecture at Netlify, will then take the project from local development to a live deployment with netlify.ai. His demonstration will explore what changes about shipping software when an AI agent is writing the code.

The 60-minute agenda includes:

  • 00:00: Welcome and an introduction to the app being built
  • 00:05: Stripe demo , prompt to provisioned backend with projects.dev
  • 00:25: Netlify demo , local to live with netlify.ai
  • 00:45: Live audience Q&A
  • 00:55: Repository handoff, resources and ideas for what to build next

Who should attend?

The session is calibrated for people who have tried tools such as Copilot or Claude but have not yet allowed an agent to operate through their terminal. More experienced AI builders can also expect practical ideas, particularly around service provisioning and agent-led deployment.

No setup is required, although you can bring a terminal if you want to follow along. By the end, you’ll have a working repository and reusable template to clone, modify and rebuild in your own time, plus a clearer mental model for the full prompt, provision and deploy pipeline.…
