About this event

What to expect

AI & IP USA 2026 brings senior intellectual property and legal leaders to New York on 6–7 October for practical guidance on adopting AI responsibly, securely and profitably.

Hosted by WIPR at the Marriott Marquis, this two-day conference examines how artificial intelligence is changing IP strategy, legal operations and the role of counsel. More than 150 attendees and 40+ speakers are expected, creating a focused setting for learning from in-house experts, meeting innovative service providers and comparing approaches with peers.

From AI experimentation to measurable value

The programme moves beyond theoretical use cases to explore the realities of deploying AI in intellectual property practice. Through case studies, strategic discussions and peer-led networking, attendees will consider how legal teams can improve efficiency and decision-making while managing confidentiality, bias, governance and regulatory compliance.

Agenda themes include:

  • Risk and liability: balancing the opportunities presented by AI with legal, ethical and operational exposure while regulation continues to evolve.
  • Operationalising AI: identifying workflows with the potential to deliver measurable operational, financial and strategic returns.
  • Governance and compliance: developing responsible, bias-aware practices across changing international AI and data regimes.
  • The AI-native counsel: understanding how IP roles are expanding beyond filing and litigation into data governance, stakeholder management and strategic leadership.
  • Investment and ROI: building a credible case for AI tools through demonstrable gains in efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

The announced speaker faculty includes Vishal Amin, Founder of Amin Strategic LLC; Anna Linne, Associate General Counsel – AI, IP & Innovation at S&P Global; John Ward, Vice President and Associate General Counsel Trademarks at Moderna; BC Moore, Director of Global Intellectual Property at Illumina; and Atabak Royaee, Senior Director and Assistant General Counsel, IP at Regeneron.
