What to expect

Looking to turn AI ideas into real projects? Leicester's Vibe Code Social meetup brings together builders, makers, and curious minds who are using AI tools to create apps, websites, automations, and prototypes — no traditional tech background required.

This hands-on Saturday morning session (10:00-12:00 at Bru Coffee Shop on Granby Street) is designed for people actively building with AI. Whether you're shipping production apps with Cursor or Lovable, experimenting with Bolt or v0, automating workflows, or still figuring out where to start — this is your space to connect, share, and make progress.

What Makes This Different

The first Vibe Code Social session in Leicester captured exactly the energy the organizers hoped for: genuine conversations, real collaboration, and useful local connections. This isn't a lecture or formal workshop. It's a practical, social environment where people chat about what they're building, help each other through blockers, compare tools like Windsurf, Replit, ChatGPT, and Claude, and make tangible progress on their projects.

You'll find a mix of builders: some technical, some non-technical, some shipping real products, others exploring early-stage ideas. The common thread? Curiosity and a willingness to try things. Beginners are genuinely welcome — but this is hands-on, so come ready to build, share, or ask for help.

What to Bring

You'll need:

  • A laptop or suitable device
  • Access to at least one AI/vibe coding tool (Cursor, Lovable, Bolt, v0, Windsurf, Claude, ChatGPT, or similar)
  • An idea, project, problem, or workflow you're curious about building

Half-built, messy, and 'I don't know where to start' are all perfectly fine. This is a judgment-free space for experimentation.

How the Session Works

After a brief welcome, the session stays fairly open. People typically move between chatting, working in pairs or small groups, sharing what they're building, asking questions, getting help, or quietly making progress on their own projects. It's sociable and practical — not forced networking. You won't be put on the spot or expected to intro
