About this event

What to expect

Learn how teams secure production AI agents at this AGNTCon PreDay meetup in Amsterdam on 16 September 2026, focused on security, quality and scale.

As AI agents gain access to real codebases, dependencies, CI/CD pipelines and cloud-native infrastructure, trust becomes a production requirement rather than a theoretical concern. This two-hour meetup examines what can go wrong when agents are allowed to make consequential changes, and how engineering teams can establish practical safeguards around their work.

Taking place from 17:00 to 19:00 CEST in Binnenstad, Amsterdam, the event brings together security researchers, developer advocates and platform engineers who are integrating agentic AI into live software systems. It is designed for technical attendees interested in application security, AI engineering, software quality, Java and cloud-native development. The emphasis is firmly on real-world production experience rather than introductory AI concepts.

What the evening will explore

Under the theme Security, Quality and Scale, conversations will cover:

  • Agentic supply-chain risk, including what happens when an AI agent has write access to dependencies
  • AI-powered code review and its role in maintaining software quality
  • Encoding team standards as machine-readable guardrails
  • The security and operational implications of running agentic systems at cloud-native scale
  • The evolving role of Java and cloud-native technologies in agent-based systems
  • Practical lessons from AI systems already running in production

The organisers describe this as space for the conversations that rarely fit neatly into conference talks. Expect a community-led meetup focused on implementation challenges, emerging risks and lessons engineers can apply to their own systems. There will be no vendor pitches.

A cross-community gathering

The meetup is hosted collaboratively by Amsterdam Java User Group, Dutch Cloud Native & AI Community Group, Codex Community, Qodo Dev Community and the AI Security Engineers Community. This mix creates an opportunity to compare perspectives across security, developer tooling, Java and cloud-native engineering. The event is sponsored by Snyk, an AI security platform.…
