What to expect

Build production-ready, multimodal AI agents for finance in this four-day online bootcamp, running across 29–30 August and 12–13 September 2026.

Move beyond prompts and basic RAG

Presented by Packt Publishing Limited, this intensive live programme explores how modern AI engineering can support banking, investment research, wealth management, fintech, insurance and enterprise finance. The focus is not on isolated prompting techniques or simple chatbots, but on complete agentic systems that can retrieve evidence, use tools, reason across multiple data formats and operate safely in regulated environments.

Headliner Nicole Königstein will guide participants through implementation, live coding and hands-on labs. The published agenda begins with:

  • Compressed foundations for financial AI agents
  • Harness engineering for financial workflows
  • Context, retrieval and structured outputs

You’ll follow the evolution from prompt engineering to context engineering and harness engineering, while learning production patterns involving reusable skills, memory, retrieval, tools, planning loops, verification and governance.

What you’ll build and examine

The practical exercises cover agents capable of:

  • Analysing annual reports, financial statements and regulatory filings
  • Interpreting financial tables, charts, dashboards, market data and time series
  • Processing earnings-call audio to extract guidance, risks and sentiment
  • Supporting portfolio and investment analysis with AI tools
  • Retrieving information across multimodal financial knowledge sources
  • Producing structured decisions with evidence and appropriate controls

Reliability is treated as an engineering discipline. You’ll look beyond basic accuracy to trace tool use, measure reliability, monitor cost and latency, reduce hallucinations, protect sensitive data, and introduce human review and approval workflows. Explainability, observability, auditability, security and governance are built into the approach from the outset.
