Future Females in Tech offers an interactive introduction to emerging technology, combining professional perspectives with practical, team-based activities. Presented by the Ada Scotland Festival with City of Glasgow College and Stellar Omada, the afternoon is designed to help the next generation of female digital talent understand both the opportunities and realities of working in technology. The free, three-hour event takes place from 1pm to 4pm on Wednesday 28 October 2026 at City of Glasgow College’s City Campus in Glasgow, in Lecture Theatre C.01.017. What to expect The programme blends discussion, networking and immersive problem-solving: - Women in Tech Panel and Q&A: Hear women working across technology, digital and cyber-related roles discuss their career journeys, achievements, challenges and advice for entering the sector. - AI Escape Challenge: Work with a team to distinguish AI fact from fiction, recognise algorithmic bias and consider the responsible use of artificial intelligence in real-world situations. - Networking break: Meet speakers, industry professionals and other participants over refreshments. - Cyber Escape Room: Delivered through Stellar Omada’s Stellar Elevate programme, this realistic cyber-threat exercise asks teams to identify vulnerabilities, analyse risks and respond as digital challenges evolve. - Wrap-up discussion: Review the afternoon’s lessons and explore routes into further study and careers in computing, cyber security and digital technologies. Rather than focusing only on presentations, the event develops digital resilience, critical thinking, teamwork and cyber awareness through active participation.
